At last
That's interesting BethAnne, but what does it have to do with Saskatchewan?
Enjoy your brunch. I'll take care of last for you.
I'll follow up hermeneutically .. like sort of spitting as I try not to bust a gut ...
What does non-hermeneutics sound like?
Thanks. I haven't actually decided if I'll go or not. I feel it's my duty to be there as deacon/intern pastor, and on the other hand, I don't know why it has to be a brunch only for men.
The topic for discussion is one which I feel all Bible-readers of evangelical stripe could be interested in. It's How to Read the Bible Better (from a conservative, evangelical viewpoint). Seems step #1 is - be a man.Because it's hard to let down your manly exterior and show your deeper self with women around? Okay, really I got nadda. But I am last.
Um... there isn't a women's group. So, I decided to go. On my way there now.Maybe the women's group is having the same discussion from a woman's perspective? It is interesting that they are having a topic like that. I've had recent brushes with UU and UCCan men's groups and they seem to be a bit more touchy-feely and less intellectual. I would go a men's (or any) group that had discussions like "How to Read the Bible Better".
