Travelled through the fog yesterday to attend the Farewell Tea for my aunt and uncle and saw a number of cousins too.
We have about 7 inches of new snow. (I know it is a pitiful amount compared to Moncton).
Our hot water tank seems to have sprung a leak - thankfully there is only a trickle of water coming out and not a flood.

Many (most) of our streets one-way because of the massive snow banks. I'm often lost in the city on streets I've travelled hundreds of times. There are no landmarks left. Commonly, I can't see houses or stores. I've been lost in the parking lot of a large shopping centre because all I can see is snow. The snow pile by the train station is now a good eight to ten stories high, with one slope that would provide excellent runs for an intermediate skier. (The other slopes are more like cliffs.) Toward the end of this week, heavy rain is expected. That should be interesting.

Hopefully the rain misses you, Graeme. Water is turned off to the hot water tank and rumour has it, a replacement will arrive tomorrow.

BethAnne I hope your water heater situation gets sorted out. Cold showers are the last thing you want on cold days.

I can't even fathom the weather in the Maritimes. I have never experienced that much snow. We've had rain, rain and more rain the last few days. I think it's expected to last a couple more.

Those in bad weather, please stay safe. But don't stay LAST.

I see no reason to extend thanks for what was a blatant attempt to dominate discussion in this thread. Nor do I approve your graphic description of BethAnne in a cold shower knowing, as you must, this would stir the ugly (or uglier) side of RedBaron's miserable character.
