The quilt was indeed cozy when I went to bed last night.

Meanwhile, in SW Ontario, it's getting into "sweltering" range. Summer has arrived in time for the first long weekend of the season. And golf has returned, too, along with some other outdoor recreational activities.

Delivered papers - not as bad or as cold as it could have been but not as warm as the forecast...just spent 1 hour mowing my lawn for the FIRST time ever in my life (only got 3/4 done but too tired/weak to continue)...I don't have any grass growing yet just dandelions and weeds :P so it looks pretty pathetic but at least I don't have 6 inch tall weeds any more...and I'm pretty darn proud of myself for doing this.

We got a fair bit of snow here. Not a ton, but certainly more than a dusting. It's mostly gone now, but there's a line of it along the fence, some on the deck, etc.

It was a warm one today, but a grocery store is a coolish place to work, so I had a light sweater and jeans on all morning, and walked out at noon to swelter. Head cashier tried to offer me a Sunday shift, which I acquiesced to so reluctantly she found someone else (I wasn't scheduled to work again until next Thursday). My "interested" neighbour (he of "your dog has barked too long in the middle of your Zoom Seder service"), observed passive-aggressively almost out of hearing that he hoped we were staying in the shade (presumably for the health of the dog) on our afternoon walk. Bought some more stuff to plant; I guess I'd better get a plan in place...
