LAST, as I note that there are required vaccinations (against yellow fever, for instance) to travel internationally to many places in the world. If you're talking intra-Canada, then I agree.

I could see a need for such a passport for some very restricted purposes; but to require one to walk into a mall, for example, would seem to be too much.

At least in the short term, maybe. Or when in enclosed spaces with others for long periods of time (e.g. plane trips or such)

One of the places mentioned - besides long term care and concerts - was schools...other than the international travel, almost any place they mentioned would impact me in some way - whether attending or delivering papers - if it went through

I'm guessing, BA, that you are not planning to be vaccinated. And I can get that, to some extent. But with decisions, come consequences.

As I am finally getting healthy, I don't want to risk that by putting something foreign into my body as I react so severely. Only had one vaccine in my life - MMR and ended up getting MMR!

So you have not had any of the regular schedule of vaccinations?

What did you get? Measles, Mumps or Rubella? Did your parents object to vaccination? Have your sibling or her children been vaccinated? I am too old for many modern vaccinations, but I certainly got polio and small pox, and a TB test. I did get all of mumps, chickenpox and rubella, and paid the price for the chickenpox with shingles.

Both of my kids pre-date the chickenpox vaccine, but had all of the other recommended vaccinations. I am too close to the polio generation to be frightened of vaccinations.

Nope...I got Measles and Mumps...parents were against vaccination but mom wanted me to get the MMR so I WOULDN'T get the diseases so that's why it's the only one I've had - plan kinda backfired. I've only had the one shot of the MMR and not the follow up (though age-wise I'm on the cusp of the cut off for the single shot). Sis hasn't had any vaccinations - not sure if she's getting the Covid one as she hasn't said yet...niece is vaccinated as brother-in-law was FIRM about that (he's on the fence about the Covid one for himself)
