Good pic!...They are quite beautiful and cute...and apparently very soft and they are very clean...and I found out they are better mousers than cats...I just wish they didn't stink!

My elementary school librarian had a de-scented skunk as a pet. She brought it in once. I suspect that's why I have a fondness for the little beasts (and for librarians). As long as they keep their cool and don't stink up the neighbourhood.

True story: When my mother was starting to go back to work after raising us, she started out by volunteering at my old elementary school. In the library. It was the same librarian. This would be more than a decade after I met her skunk. I got to go in and help, so got a chance to thank her for helping start my reading habit.

Dad had one as a pet that wasn't de-scented and he said he never had a problem with it ever

So...my "plan" is to create a labyrinth in the garden and it's certainly been an experiment and work in progress - I may have bitten off more than I can chew???...this morning I started marking off the path - it's a but boxy (!) ...weeded and planted potatoes in the left large space...weeded and planted cucumbers and runner beans on the right end of the wire fence...weeded and planted carrots in the large right space...had to quit as it got too windy...so I went inside and made a chocolate pecan pie with a nut crust (crust was made the other day) as I found a chocolate pie filling mix in the cupboard.

Spread mom's ashes in the flowerbed this morning - today's her birthday. I have pretty much everything planted or marked out where it will go (ie plants from greenhouse) and I still have half the space in the labyrinth available for plants  Seems I need more path and/or a wider path.

What's happening in this thread ... no posts since MONDAY?? Seems highly unusual. Perhaps everyone is out enjoying the sunshine - at LAST :-)
