I need to walk more - would definitely help my health situation.Definitely, I go for walks in winter when I can't ride my bike and it is a low impact excellent way to stay fit.
I was dancing at the time. Still - doing things like bending over touching toes and doing it enough to get a stretch is not how to warm up.I heard about a case at a Walmart doing these stretches to the first shift of the day before the store opened. One woman was standing next to a counter by the fitting rooms and she lost her balance and hit the counter and had to get stitches to her face. These companies have no idea of the different fitness levels when they start a one size fits all thing with these stretches. In summer I often go out for 100 km bike rides and I never do a stretch before my ride and when I get back 6 or 7 hours later I just plunk down in a lawn chair never do a cool down stretch. Everybody is different in what works for them. Part of the problem is big corporations like conformity, individuality scares them.
