We did stretches at Walmart and certainly not well designed ones. Am familiar with an oil company doing them too.

I heard about a case at a Walmart doing these stretches to the first shift of the day before the store opened. One woman was standing next to a counter by the fitting rooms and she lost her balance and hit the counter and had to get stitches to her face. These companies have no idea of the different fitness levels when they start a one size fits all thing with these stretches. In summer I often go out for 100 km bike rides and I never do a stretch before my ride and when I get back 6 or 7 hours later I just plunk down in a lawn chair never do a cool down stretch. Everybody is different in what works for them. Part of the problem is big corporations like conformity, individuality scares them.

If they want a one-size-fits-all they would be further ahead to have everyone walk around for 10-20 mins - better for over-all fitness AND productivity than stretching.

I was dancing at the time. Still - doing things like bending over touching toes and doing it enough to get a stretch is not how to warm up.

Just noticed the amazing coincidence that You Just Never Know had a losing ticket on the 6/49. Gee. So did I. What a fluke! What are the odds against us both having losing tickets.

One should never retire ... people will think your po' sol' is doing nothing ... and thus the stretch ... to get the tyre over the great weals of Gods that are out there ... over bearing as nothing yet seen ...

I've always been a big believer in exercise. Every day, I walk to the fridge to get a glass of diet ginger ale, and then walk back to my computer. I credit my good looks to that.
