mom's vehicle didn't start this morning and brother-in-law (who is a mechanic) looked at it this afternoon and can't find the battery.
I once had a car where the battery was in the trunk by the spare tire. I think Wally from the Dilbert cartoon must have inspired some of the automobile engineers!

Good morning! Happy Tuesday. Had a bLAST of winter overnight, supposed to be followed by a chance of freezing rain, then rain. Seems like 3 out of 4 seasons within about 12 hours.

He said he looked through the entire vehicle...all the manual said was call the dealership.

The battery is still at the dealership ... that's almost assaulting to the senses ... if we are cognizant of such matter ... tis a dark thing compared to air and water or even whe they are vacant as in vacuous brains that suck everything up ... with consequences for things going by unseen ... rather flighty like angels?

It snowed heavily t his morning, and much more heavily now in late afternoon. And it's cold. But, undaunted, and without weeping to the world, I walked out to my car, shovelled the snow out of the way, started the car, put my shoes on, and drove off.

Graeme were you shovelling in your slippers, or bare feet? Made me chuckle as you wrote about putting your shoes on almost LAST :-)

Had to make my LAST decisions - ordered my garden seeds last night. I will need to still buy a few more, but they are all things I plan to get in store.

The battery in a Ford Escape is in an absolutely normal position - left front as I recall; I boosted someone's battery with mine a month or so ago, so I have looked recently.

Well, I have a 2009, and it's right at the front (although it might be the right side and I'm not going out to check), so maybe they do move 'em around...
