Today has been a knit or crochet one row and then take out 5 rows (due to a previously unseen mistake) kind of day.

One step forward, two steps backwards, yes?

Took my son up to his Dad's today (couple of hours away; perhaps in chansen's ski territory). Didn't have to; he said he'd hike, but it was a rainy day and I hate the idea of someone getting soaked to the bone when not necessary, so I enjoyed a long drive.

I'll bet I was the only (and therefore the LAST) one planting bean seeds in the drizzle at 8 a.m. today clad in PJs. Back garden, fortunately.

A good place of rest ...

There are strange things done in the midnight sun
By the men who moil for gold..
The northern lights have seen strange sights
That would make your blood run cold..

Please mother, don't stab father with the bread knife.
Remember, twas a gift when you were wed,
But if you much stab father with the breadknife, please, mother,
Use another for the bread.

There are strange things done in the midnight sun
By the men who moil for gold;
The Arctic trails have their secret tales
That would make your blood run cold;
The Northern Lights have seen queer sights,
But the queerest they ever did see
Was that night on the marge of Lake Lebarge
I cremated Sam McGee.

Sounds like my Dell computer that starts itself randomly after I have shut it down. Mind you, I'm the last one to worry about things technical when I can just say the heck with it and go for a bike ride. :)
I was in the process of saving some changes to the paper at the time...thankfully, the changes saved before the computer restarted so all is good.
