The sea ones taste better with melted butter.I don't understand the distinction between land insects and sea ones. What is a shrimp or a lobster other than a water insect? (Exoskeleton, etc.)

Do you know what else is better with melted butter? Deep fried butter!Snails taste pretty good with melted butter, as well, so I'm not seeing that distinction, either. In fact, is there very much that's not improved by some melted butter?
i feel much the same way aboot, say, Pagans & Christians or, 'whites' and 'blacks' or, Liberals & Conservatives etc etc etcI don't understand the distinction between land insects and sea ones. What is a shrimp or a lobster other than a water insect? (Exoskeleton, etc.)

Eew yuck...that is so far from anything I want to try! I wish you luck getting that down!Actually, the red-cooked snails in Shanghai blow escargots in garlic butter away big time. Probably healthier, too.
And, technically. lobsters and crabs (and shrimp and some other watery critters) are crustaceans, not insects. Doesn't really change your point, though, just a pedantic correction. Personally, I have not eaten any bugs as of yet in my life (save the odd unfortunate accident) but given all of the various foods I've tried over the years, it would not be a stretch to do so. In fact, eating Cambodian grilled tarantula is high on my list of things to do when we finally get to Southeast Asia.
(Yes, really, it's a thing)
As stated earlier, that's much of the problem!I don't understand the distinction between land insects and sea ones. What is a shrimp or a lobster other than a water insect? (Exoskeleton, etc.)
