Snails taste pretty good with melted butter, as well, so I'm not seeing that distinction, either. In fact, is there very much that's not improved by some melted butter?

Do you know what else is better with melted butter? Deep fried butter!

I don't understand the distinction between land insects and sea ones. What is a shrimp or a lobster other than a water insect? (Exoskeleton, etc.)
i feel much the same way aboot, say, Pagans & Christians or, 'whites' and 'blacks' or, Liberals & Conservatives etc etc etc
so yeah, some people like eating insects with butter
go figure--we're a twisted species

Actually, the red-cooked snails in Shanghai blow escargots in garlic butter away big time. Probably healthier, too.

And, technically. lobsters and crabs (and shrimp and some other watery critters) are crustaceans, not insects. Doesn't really change your point, though, just a pedantic correction. Personally, I have not eaten any bugs as of yet in my life (save the odd unfortunate accident) but given all of the various foods I've tried over the years, it would not be a stretch to do so. In fact, eating Cambodian grilled tarantula is high on my list of things to do when we finally get to Southeast Asia.

(Yes, really, it's a thing)

Eew yuck...that is so far from anything I want to try! I wish you luck getting that down!

Melted butter is like oily ... in oligarchs they cause things to go down smoother and thus the decline of empires ... resulting in lesser powers?
