Is Ontario headed for another Wynne win?

By the way, you STILL haven't answered the question of what 'experts' opinions you've read on the issue.

Judging by the election results, the majority of parents are just fine without their little kids being taught about sex in the classroom.
Are you talking about the 40% of people who voted PC? Most of whom probably didn't have the health curriculum as their top issue. So you agree with taking away parents' right to choose?

I don't think the sex ed issue was a major issue in the campaign. In fact, I don't recall it ever being mentioned. $1 beer, yes. But no sex ed. The only place where it seems to have been an issue is in your head.
Of course, I could be mistaken.

It was an issue in the election. Not as major an issue as perhaps some others, but it was absolutely present.

Indeed, there was a political party pretty much devoted solely to it.

Anyway, I will find hope in the fact that Doug Ford has some good people to put in his Cabinet, including his leadership rivals Christine Elliott and Caroline Mulroney. My own MPP, Laurie Scott, would be a good choice for Cabinet in my opinion, as would the MPP for my church's constituency of Ajax - Rod Phillips. Here's hoping that he'll listen to them and they can have some positive influence. My beef in this election was never with the PC Party per se. It was with Doug Ford. Under a different leader I'd have likely voted for them.

That's what we're left with, the knowledge that not all of their MPPs are complete assclowns. Many were not allowed to debate during the campaign, for fear of them opening their mouths and saying something unscripted.

What still bothers me is that these supposed "good people" stood behind Doug Ford.

Checking in while on vacation using an unfamalif computer.fromComments i gather ford won Too bad. I thought canadians were smarter. I haven,t seeen the numbers yet..

Yes Seeler, Doug Ford and his Progressive Conservative party won a majority government. So happy with the results. :)

The Liberals went from being the government to just holding on to official party status. The NDP, who were the third party, are now the official opposition. And the Greens won their first-ever seat in Ontario's legislature.

I am happy the PC s won. I just wish it was under a different leader. Someone who isn’t a moron. However there are lots of smart people elected so fingers crossed that real adults will run the province and figure out how to decrease our debt, which is drowning us, and let our moron premiere drink $1 beer in his mother’s basement

I told my daughter that soon, the younger grades in her school may not get the sex education she did.

"That's okay, I can teach them!"

We may literally be hoping for the bright, older kids to teach on thecplayground what the teachers may not be allowed to.

Always remember the words of the church fathers: : It is best if the child within doesn't know a lot of hard material"!

Keep it soft and stupid ...

If well done we can't tell the differences between:
  • Feeling
  • Thinking
  • Sensing
  • Intuitive (imaginative-abstracts)
  • Perception
  • Justice
Thus earthly unbalance .. certainty of wobble? --- the greatest weaver can get around the 'ole thing ... as what else ... an alien mind? WTF!

Well the bible did toss in that idea to stay way from knowledge and the tree there of ... from sapiens we get sappers ... intense on destruction!

Provides a need to forget ... a stage one has to pass through for volition ... the power of will and how learning burns ... leaving black squiggles on the page boy ... that's the word silence ... and sacred ... hiding something alien ... unknown! Ain't that sum tin ta learn?

A host states they rather not ... they are seized and stuck with a flow of lies ... until unravelling the myth ...

Premiere ... a priority ... do stunned people need to drink cheap bear to get more naïveté in their midst? The English even had Corn Laws for protection of Gin ... it was rethought ... but thoughts are out of sight ... unlike emotions ... they beam out Scottie ... like sunshine when seeing stunned activities ... :D

Heard the news today on CBC Radio. The Liberals did not get official party status, and Kathleen Wynne has asked the party to begin the process of finding a new leader. :)

With some stunned attitudes about sex ... may the harassment go on ... or just will as a matter of volition?

No may to it the powers require it ... maintains the loss of thought ...

And also ... the balance point has never been found ... too little for the big guns ... or those aspiring!

Night mares, incubus, or succubus ... it appears there is an imperfection in the system ... a dimple ... sometime a wrinkle in the fabric! Dirt hangs up in folds ...

Raise another $0.99 Canadian to that ... a wealth of knowledge down the pipes to support wisdom far away from where we're at ... naïveté is a strange conception know ... but then if you didn't wish to know ... would you?

I give it 12-15 months, if that long, before people start missing the good ol' days, when Kathleen Wynne was the premier of Ontario.

:ROFLMAO:

Wow Redbaron! I usually don't feel you're one of the comics here at WC2, but sometimes you sure come up with a wowser!

I am sure there will be buyers remorse over Doug but not regrets over the liberals bankrupting the province

Let’s just hope that he isn’t the moron he appears to be

I shall withhold judgement until Ford starts doing things. I am not optimistic, but I will try not to prejudge this government.

He will have some challenges to keep some of his promises. Like firing the chair of HydroOne. Even he manages to get enough other board members onside to pull it off, expect a huge severance package or a court fight. Like delivering his tax cuts while still balancing the books without impacting people's lives. He has set himself a tough row to hoe.

So I expect the withdrawal of the sex ed curriculum, if he is really going to do it, to come fairly quickly. It's low hanging fruit in that it plays to his base, it does not cost money, and it is totally under the government's control.

Is there another kind of power than politician? Is there a lesser prick to the conscience? Oh I forget the conscience is part of mind and it doesn't exist ... I've been told it doesn't require any thought! Far too intelligent as a large blossom ...

If avoiding the tree of knowledge the tree of lies will do ... therewithal the Nous False ... catching the inattentive ...

Blind optimism? Perhaps fatalism is best and as Jim Reeves stated ... Its Time to Go? Perhaps life is a farce ... I don't know ... too much intelligence appears to be withheld ... sacred trusts?

When will we ever get it together? Dear Lord not here ... too much untangling to do first ...
