"I'm good to go for another year now."
Interesting how that phrase resonates, because that's how I feel after time in Newfoundland and Labrador. I enjoyed a fabulous three weeks on the Rock hanging out with friends, laughing, eating traditional NL food (love fresh cod), great weather, exploring remote outport communites, hiking interesting trails, picking ripe, fat blueberries, making new friends, relishing peace and quiet.... Some small icebergs still around and they are sculptured wonders. Curious puffins and other seabirds. And the whales - they were absolutely incredible. Had some encounters with curious and playful humpback whales I have never experienced before - joyful, wonderful moments and even hours to celebrate all that is good about nature and her gifts of life. These are times and memories that sustain through the trials and tribulations of everyday living. I am so grateful for the opportunity to travel and enjoy new experiences. My resolution is to carry this "good feeling" over to my relationships with others, and put aside some of the pettiness that so often overwhelms....I will do my best.
