That's really all I meant. Sort of rustic and disorganized (more Central/ Southern European? I think of English gardens as more planned.) They were taking up what would otherwise be the front yard.Yes. I would call that an English style perennial garden. Didn’t see wild flowers though the garden does look “wild”
See post to lastpoint. It was a planned mess of beautiful flowers that look wild but were planted there. It's interesting to see what might be "wildflowers" on Vancouver Island versus elsewhere. All those gorgeous fuschia are annuals in the rest of Canada.

I picked this today. It was growing on the grassy edge of the sidewalk, by itself, with a bunch of dandelions. I feel a bit guilty. I think I should've left it there in its uniqueness. Incidentally, the coffee flavoured vodka is great in hot chocolate. I was going to buy cider that day, but it was cold out so I tried that instead.View attachment 4207
It's a fuzzy pillow. Is that a tribble on the chair? Or a cat? Or what?
But I love the flower and coffee-flavoured vodka? Hmmm. Sounds intriguing.
It seems robust this time of year. Or, at least it was until I picked it. Oops.White cosmos. Very pretty, and pretty freely self-seeding, so one blossom less no big deal at all.
Okay, but if it starts purring and quivering, keep the quadrotriticale locked up. (Star Trek reference for the win). It's a fuzzy pillow.
