There’s a lot of infighting in community. The greater the struggles of the people within the more that seems to be - especially these days - and the harder it is to work things out. That’s a cause of gossip, and then the gossip keeps the infighting going. To be honest I’ve had plenty of days where I prefer being a hermit, for the price of loneliness. I don’t mind my own company - covid isolation wasn’t too bad in that regard - but I can’t do that all the time. Few can. We all need connection. We all rely on others. The human world is a socially constructed world. Online communities are real, too.I agree. That's not gossip. It was concern for their safety, especially the dog's wellbeing, and response to an incident many found traumatic. It was part of the healing. It's a good reminder of why community is important.
