So, I got my booster today. Moderna, where the first two were Pfizer. Interesting little side note, though. She asked me if I was on any immuno-suppressant drugs to which I replied "only topically for my eczema". She looked on her list, and sure enough, tacrolimus was on the list, and so it was suggested that I should get a full dose, instead of a half dose for my booster. So, it was so, but I wondered if @Northwind and @ChemGal both got full doses for their boosters?

One of my team went for his booster today and said it was so crowded, it was probably the riskiest place he had been in a while (this is a guy who has had two close contacts but came out negative both times).

Ours was running its usual clockwork fashion. I had a 12:15 appointment, got there at 12:10, social distancing in line outside, you must add a clean surgical mask to whatever you've got on, distancing is practiced inside as well, they've reduced the wait time to 5 minutes from 15, I was out of there at 12:31, and that included the negotiation/consultation about immune-suppressive therapies.

Imagine mysterious fey conditions and they we're out and gone ... flighty?

Yeah, could be. When I look at the breadth of political reactions to the same scientific news, I think we've thrown a lot of science to the wolves, as it were.

However, although "15 minutes" has long been the standard medical reaction to "waiting time after an injection" (from the time I was a teenager getting allergy shots), it seems to me that the absolute bulk of anaphylactic reactions would commence within five minutes).

They screwed mine up. Found out waaay after. I went in and gave right info. Here tacrolimus only counts if used orally (or injected not sure if that's a possible option for it) topical doesn't count.

Well, she had the printed list from the Health Unit, and it didn't differentiate between delivery modes. Frankly, the sight of my left arm, which had to be bared to get shot, might have been evidence that my immune system is clearly quite out of whack.

Yeah I don't get why the provinces differ so much.
Btw only Moderna has different doses. 12+ Pfizer is one dose across the board.

I was not happy with how things were handled. When I got it I was unaware of the dose differences (it was Oct, not much info). The health records do not have dose info. My original copy stated booster dose, I looked at it for some reason in Dec and was like oooh wait, that's off. Called pharmacy, they confirmed it was 50 mcg. Spent hours on line with healink, got passed around everyone was clueless and they had zip for dose information. They couldn't even say the amount in a first dose. They didn't even know what my next step should be. Called the local public health clinic, they had to call me back plus did a follow up with the pharmacy.
I'm quite sure if they owner gave me the 3rd shot it would have been correct. The pharmacist who gave it to me kept asking if I was a healthcare worker. Had the 2 doses been publicized at that time I would have done better checking on the dose, I did tell him I was immunocompromised multiple times.

It's quite possible a lower dose was the better option for me though. I just don't know how the medications affect me. Serology still isn't an option which is a bit maddening.

I got a full dose. It kicked my butt the next day. I was fine, just tired on the day after that.

They still say it is best if you don't know ... thus one goes down ... in pieces!

A broken people being the destruction of civil social concerns??? Very little concern up there as they have obscured perceptions ...

Have I heard this afore or is it just my egoes ... well oiled? Thus went ... god Gnostics ... poor pitch? Unheard of ...

Seems to have had little effect, as the first two. Sore arm. I got a sorta fast-onset headache this afternoon, but it was totally easily quelled with an ibuprofen, and I don't think I'll stay up late tonight, but that's largely the norm for me.

ON has moved on to 4th doses for some. Minimum wait after 3rd dose is somewhere around 3 months. I haven't heard details here but I assume I will be eligible when I hit the 5 month mark unless I hear otherwise. It should be fairly accessible information as I'm a few weeks behind when I technically qualified as I needed more clarification on rules, talking to a doctor first was highly recommended and I waited out timing with when my immune system would be less suppressed.

84 days is the number they are using and right now it looks like it is still LTC. It was announced at the same time as they made the third dose mandatory for staff.

I understand the "fourth dose" is actually a booster for those who got three doses. Some of us needed three to get what others got in two. I think BC is giving the booster after three doses too. I'll just wait and see.

Just wondering, is there such a thing as too many boosters? Can we build up an immunity to the vaccine?
