It is a sad statement though. The USA has now begun to protect itself against us
Or it's a positive statement of inter-country co-operation for the protection of both countries.

Chile would tell us not to expect this all to stop even with the vaccines.....and they are the most vaccinated country in the world who are now experiencing rising numbers. It is a sad statement though. The USA has now begun to protect itself against us
I though Israel is the top vaccinated country.Chile would tell us not to expect this all to stop even with the vaccines.....and they are the most vaccinated country in the world who are now experiencing rising numbers.
Yes, you're right.....they are ahead. This is the article I read:I though Israel is the top vaccinated country.
I read something earlier, only 3% protection with 1 dose doesn't sound like a very effective vaccine.Yes, you're right.....they are ahead. This is the article I read:
Chile has one of the world's best vaccination rates. Covid is surging there anyway
A recent surge in coronavirus infections in Chile has sparked concern beyond its borders.www.cnbc.com
As we have heard before, in order for vaccinations to work, at least 75 % of the population have to have their vaccination protection- so, 3% protection in 40% of the population is as good as nothing.Yes, you're right.....they are ahead. This is the article I read:

My understanding if the 3rd isn't about getting full protection but moreso about ongoing protection plus there's a good chance the 3rd won't be the same as the 1st 2, but will be altered to better match variants. As we have heard before, in order for vaccinations to work, at least 75 % of the population have to have their vaccination protection- so, 3% protection in 40% of the population is as good as nothing.
That’s why I am weary about having the second shots in Canada so far apart. I really have been lucky to had had mine at the original schedule through work. Though I heard a rumor that a third one will be required....
Great model. I heard of a similar one in North York @ one of the hospitals - the person stays put & staff come to them. Much easier for people who have mobility challenges.Health units across Canada begin adopting Grey-Bruce hockey hub vaccine clinic concept
The mass vaccination model developed in Grey-Bruce has been implemented in Sudbury, Lambton County, Manitoba and Albertawww.collingwoodtoday.ca
a shout out to our county health unit and their hockey hubs!
That did walk ins at some but the scheduled appointments are also still happening here.Great model. I heard of a similar one in North York @ one of the hospitals - the person stays put & staff come to them. Much easier for people who have mobility challenges.
I'm really bothered that the 'pop up' clinics in Toronto hot spots are seeing all people on a first come, first jabbed basis - people are lining up outdoors for many hours in all kinds of weather. It does seem that a pop-up registration system should be possible. IF there is an issue with access by phone or online to book appts, then I think there might be a hybrid system put in place - some for first come, some for pre-registered appts. Or why can't people come by & get an appt time to return if they wish, rather than being made to wait outside endlessly. Seems to me unfair to many, possibly discriminatory. Could you imagine people in wealthier areas of Toronto being made to line up for 3-4 hours?
