Cool. Is Barrie (or whatever your health unit is called) using their own system or the provincial system? London has its own, which seems to work fairly well. I had no trouble navigating it at least.

Simcoe Muskoka Health Unit. And we seem to have our own system, which appears to be working well. I have known a number of people who have worked at this health unit. They're very competent.

I'm sore already and this wouldn't even be a reaction to the antigen yet. Hip and arm mostly, parts of my leg too. Fingers cross this doesn't get bad.

Cancelling my AHS appointment was easy, click link from email, click cancel and then yes.

My son has been approved by his doctor for vaccination because of vulnerability. I set this in process a few weeks ago and he now has the go ahead. He has to wait for some sort of code or something (he was a bit vague about the details!) From here on he will stress as he loses a lot of brain ability if he feels poorly. A reaction would not be good news - but Covid would be worse.

Hopefully he can get it soon and rest for the few days if he does get a headache or body aches.
When I was getting flu shots I was typically sore in both arms and neck by the end of the day, would last days and would be nauseated for days too. So my feeling unwell tends to be on the very severe end for what is considered normal side effects.

Phase 2C starts Monday, I don't think it's inclusive to the whole group, just health care workers, not those working in homeless shelters, parents of kids under 16 with at risk health conditions, etc.

My friend who also got the AZ had an evening of fever/chill, nausea, muscle aches - fortunately not lasting too long. It's a good thing I guess ... the body is recognizing an intruder :-)

I was encouraged to hear last evening that a flight of migrant farm workers were vaccinated at Pearson Airport yesterday as they deplaned from Mexico. Said this would be standard offer now for any arriving migrant workers.

I hear more pharmacies are getting AZ in Ontario but the list has not been updated yet so I don't know if more are getting it here. Our mayor was more than a tad pissed off that only two pharmacies, both along the same thoroughfare on the west side of the city, were getting it in London. Basically ignored the entire East and South ends of the city, not to mention the core.

FYI, our mayor, Ed Holder, was a Harper cabinet minister but he has been a hell of a mayor in this crisis and I might just vote to give him another term next year if he stands for re-election. Totally not what I expected given his history in the CPC.

Had an HAE attack last night was at least still awake so caught early. Health link has informed me I have to get tested or isolate for minimum of 10 days at the end of symptoms- and that's true for any sore throat regardless of the reason. Wtf to that last part I will be calling on Monday for more information on that.

Aaaaand I found the updated list on CTV London and it is now up to 45 pharmacies in London and environs (e.g. Strathroy).
Our local pharmacy was on the list but was awaiting vaccine supply a couple of weeks ago. Mr Paradox and I were on the wait list but as things changed, we qualified to get our shots elsewhere. So we cancelled with the pharmacy.

I know a couple who got their first shots at a pharmacy when they were offering it to 60 - 64 year olds. They were not given second appointments and were told they are on their own to find these appointments.

The 2nd appointments when things went to 4 months weren't being scheduled here, only those who fell within the 42 days or less criteria. Too much uncertainty - it may not be 4 months.

Hope this situation resolves quickly and safely. It must be very challenging to keep yourself safe when most of the medical people don't know how to treat your health issues.

City clinics and hospitals here have given everyone their second appointments. Exactly 16 weeks later.

Yeah, I am pretty sure the guy next door has his 2nd booked based on the 4 months (he's over 80 but has no health risks). Mrs. M goes on Wednesday so we'll see.

I'm at least managing it ok on my own, a little annoyed about needing to go for a COVID test in order to go to other medical appointments, and won't have it back on time for Tuesday.

I am very annoyed about the 'core symptom' thing and no acknowledgement for pre-existing conditions though, the info is all over the place on that, they have the most recent info though. It was weird when I did the self assessment for booking a test I couldn't actually check off any of the symptoms as they at state not due to a pre-existing condition, yet it still says I need a test. It's weird and concerning that they think anyone with a runny nose or sore throat needs to isolate!

My father and his friend are in London as are two other family members. They were given their appointments for their second dose when they went for their first. They all went to the Western Fairgrounds
