I doubt that will occur.

Who appears to being on the top list, are those who are most vulnerable, and those who through their work must put themselves in precarious positions -- health care workers, seniors in long-term care homes, retirement homes and those who work there.

No. If you note I included those going to bars. They aren't the vulnerable.
Nor, did I say that it would be forced upon the homeless, addicts, but..they are at risk, and if they want it, shouldn't they be offered it in the early waves?

Yes ... you want the vaccine ... you take the experimental vaccine first. You first. You yourself ... take the vaccine and then you are allowed to speak as to whether you recommend it for others less privileged than yourself. You want the experiment to continue then put your body on the line ... experimentation should be within the 'educated' and informed consenting first. I want you to take the vaccine before you start pushing it on the vulnerable. People who are pushing the experiment should be willing to experiment on themselves first. Let me know when you are willing to experiment on yourself and your children and your grandchildren ... and I will consider your 'opinion' as having at least a bit more credibility. And maybe while you are at it ... put yourself in a more vulnerable position first.

You do realize that there is no experimentation going on here. Yes, there is learning, but, that is far different from experimentation.
If I could get the vaccine, I would; however, that would not be ehtical or just. There are those who are less privileged than i and more at risk than I , who deserve to get it long before i do.

I am part of the vulnerable population but, I can protect myself. I don't have to go out to work. I am not caring for someone more vulnerable.

You truly do not understand.
 
So the other night on CNN town hall COVID update, they were commenting that somebody in the US wrote an algorithm app into which you can enter points of your own data & get an estimate of where you are "in line" for vaccine injection. They put in the host's info & found him to have about 200 MILLION people in line ahead of him! Something like that. So it's gonna be a while folks.

But we have no idea what assumptions or research went into that algorithm. For all we know, the "somebody" who created it pulled numbers out of their ass.

It was linked on a popular page on fb where people were stating where they fell. It seemed to be based on what phase someone's criteria would fit along with location. Ie. Frontline workers from major cities had 1 number people with chronic illnesses another etc. They were clustered it probably only spits out something like 8 different numbers 4 phases one with an a and b and then major pop area vs.more isolated.

Wonderful if there is other medications coming up for treatment. Another strategy would be to prevent infection in the first place.
 
If I qualified, I'd like to get (a) vaccine sooner rather than later. I think I'll be in a sooner group, because I work in a grocery store. I think I would prefer not the Pfizer vaccine, as I have a lot of allergies, but I've had pretty regular flu shots with no adverse reaction.

Defining Vulnerability​


In research ethics, a vulnerable population is generally thought to be one whose members’ ability to consent to participate in a research protocol is compromised (eg, through lack of competency, illiteracy, poverty, or inability to communicate). I fit into the vulnerable population for COVID.
I am guessing many on this site do if for no other reason than for age.
Some of us have more than one item that makes us vulnerable.
