Thus, contrary to what folk would like to believe, the line is drawn between those that observe change ... and those that are determined otherwise!

The outcome is like those applying the law (from above of course) as from there they are above it and it doesn't apply to them ... it is all uncertain as a factor cannot get it together as the line is too thin and its sides are mortally limited! This defines finite ... does it not?

What's beyond that? Well, that's something difficult to say from a hard point ... thus vast mysteries as self-created! Folk find this hard to unravel because of how the nebulous fabric is woven ...

Can't see it right?

The battle for power continues for sometime in the future and thus it is beyond those seized by the idea of power initially and leads to means to the end ...

De ontological view from deep in the enigma ... how to get out of the mess we've made when "thinking and logic is disposed of !"

It is just how it goes in a land of wish washing ... catharsis for shortened ...

Leads to a further curiosity ... where do Arsis come from ... Arse? It appears to follow some weird lead ... thus a horse with 2 ends ... divine eh?

Real folk put a lot of dependance on horsepower ... watts more out there than a shocking horse? Thus the word works it sway about ... with time and tide ... Maw Tilda?

The Globe & Mail, citing the proverbial "unnamed sources" is saying Trudeau might step down before the caucus meets on Wednesday. There is apparently debate about whether to keep him on as interim leader or make a clean break and put someone else in that role. The party executive needs to meet as well to work out how to run the leadership race. Proroguing Parliament is mentioned as a possibility. Sadly, the Globe has chosen to lock this up behind their paywall but here's the link for any subscribers who happen to be around.

CBC just reported that Trudeau has a press conference on his future booked for 10:45am. Could be interesting.
 
Will the future of powerful administration begin to look up?

If not they will not observe anything of the sort that could be labelled folly ... and economic growth could strain our substance ... thus hollow semantics!

What do you suppose has gotten into these folk ... varices? Something is about to rupture ... thus de rift ... rapture?

Imagine all the essences hiding underground ... subtlety? You cannot observe ide from the subjective perspective ...
 
So somewhere back in this thread, someone (@jimkenney12 ?) first brought up the Liberals proroguing to buy time to replace Trudeau. Guess what happened this morning? Trudeau has resigned effective when a new leader is in place and Parliament is prorogued until March 24. So buying time in hopes they can get a new leader in place before having to face a confidence motion that it appears they will lose, barring a change of heart by either the NDP or Bloc.
 
We're just watching the coverage. That was an announcement Trudeau did not want to make. He looked emotional at times and angry at others. He said all the "right" things. It will be interesting to see what happens now
 
For those denying chaos, dissonance and other moot forms of Din ... the insanity continues to take us somewhere that has not resolution! We seem to love losing anything of intelligence ... it is just how it goes. WE follow those to the soude ... all going down the drain ... and then stitched up ... what a network we've got!

Nihil! Life is like that ... there are various meanings expressed in other languages ... understood?

ANd really I am hoping that a good person does not step in at this time. I suspect whoever takes the reins will be this generation's equivalent of Kim Campbell -- a sacrificial lamb for the imminent election.

Exactly this. Were I a candidate of the calibre of Freeland or Carney, I might just sit this one out and let someone else take the fall in the Spring election.
 
To be clear, this means no Parliament until March 24. All bills that have not received Royal Assent as of today need to be reintroduced after March 24 unless the House unanimously agrees to allow them to be reinstated at the stage they were in at prorogation. That's Parliament, not House of Commons. Bills in the Senate die, too. No committees can meet until after March 24 so no committee hearings or similar activity. The government can govern within the limits of current legislation, but no new programs can be introduced (since that requires legislation), no new spending approved. Basically, if anything requires a vote of Parliament or a committee's approval, it can't happen. If something can legally be done through Orders in Council or delegated legislation (i.e. regulations), then it can. In short, the Cabinet and civil service now run the country but are severely limited in what they can actually do beyond just keeping current programs running. Even a trade deal with the US to forestall Trump's tariff threat couldn't be ratified until Parliament resumes.
 
It gives the Liberals over two months to generate a spotlight on PP's policies or lack thereof and provide data on what he has opposed or supported in the past. It gives the NDP the same time to design and promote a set of policies that could get wide public approval.

But will they? Or will it just be two months of navel-gazing and infighting over the leadership?
 
The Liberals need to smarten up. Challenging PP's "narrative" would be a start. Since they haven't been so good at listening to the electorate, including the very loud, angry electorate in the west, I don't hold hope they will do the right thing.
 
I found it interesting what Trudeau said about wishing he could have promoted a first, second and third choice on the election ballot. I hadn't heard that before, but then I don't follow politics super closely. But, as for things he could have done better...I would have thought he'd come up with something else! There is a list he could have chosen from.

After his resignation and Q and A session, my friends and I had a WhatsApp chat. One lives in Calgary and one in Halifax. I said that I like his ideals but he still doesn't think realistically when he talks about how he helped the middle class and reduced poverty. From what I hear, many in the middle class are struggling with housing, groceries, mortgages, fear of crime. And the food bank lineups indicate there is still considerable poverty. My Calgary friend thought that the actual statistics might show that poverty HAS been reduced, and that the middle class is better off. This is based on what she knows and sees within her friend and family circle. My Halifax friend said that she doesn't know one single young person who can afford to buy a house without help from parents. And that her daughter and other young people she knows are struggling with rent, groceries, life in general. I said that our kids worry about finances, but their expectations are different than what ours were when we were struggling to raise kids and pay a mortgage. They order food from restaurants rather than cook, and buy according to whims or needs that have only become needs in modern times (lots of baby/kid products in that category).

Anyway, whoever becomes the next Liberal leader has to have better advisors than Trudeau had. Some of those will need to be ordinary people, not business-rich, or those continuing a political legacy. What say WonderCafe2 offer to be the ordinary folk who give sound advice????
 
What's this? What's this? Is it really true? I just got the great news! Justin Trudeau is stepping down. Wow, what a development!
