I received a package Tuesday. I was feeling pretty low that day, so figured it would be a good time to open it. Chemguy actually brought up it to me in between naps and figured I could use a bit of picking up.

There's a zentangle (?) in the shape of a heart to acknowledge CH. I got a book of poems, signed by the author. Haven't delved in yet but it appears to be story overall. Not something I've read in contemporary works before that I recall, I look forward to something different.
Thanks @BetteTheRed !

Dorothy is a local writer, originally from Toronto. She calls this one a "novella in verse". One very cool thing about it is that 100% of the profit of the book goes to a local youth shelter called Youth Haven.

Tada! I think Chemgal was the last one to get her package. All should have arrived, but might not have been unpacked yet. I think I am now relieved from Santa duty.

OK, I gave in to temptation and opened the card today. In it was a card from Ninjafaery (Thanks, NF!!) with a gift card from Timmy's (appropriate for the guy who sets up the coffee cart in Room for All, when he remembers to do so), and a fridge magnet featuring 2 of my childhood icons, Rocky and Bullwinkle. The card will come in handy, and the magnet will be nice to hold the shopping list to the fridge!

After the right time ... the time of rites is all that left! Thus the dusting off ... as the dash to get out races ... and hordes can be abstracted ... somewhat like the crypt of night ... and green things grow in the dark ... add auld lessen Ci! The editors put it down as adolescence ... another rite to be passed at some stage!

With proper hormones you don't even think of it ...

Oh, I just opened my parcel to my great delight! What a package of treasures. Beautifully wrapped in the perfect-sized Christmas box. A lovely Christmas postcard, two beautiful poems, a cat-themed carry bag, chocolates, including a long bar of little caramel-filled chocolates and some very uniquely flavoured jellies (gooseberry, lime and pear), a book of Chagall postcards (beautiful images), and finally, the piece de resistance - my very own custom placemat and coaster in a cat and mouse theme! (And a little pewter heart in memory of Crazyheart, which made me cry, in a nice way.) @Mrs.A, thank you so much. I've just had so much joy opening it. Glad I waited for this a.m.
