Someone posted on a health page about taking a vacation from managing your chronic illness. It basically recommended mixing up your routine - I disagree on calling that a vacation from managing it.
To support my case - I am getting things ready for a short time away. Last night I went through my medications, found I needed 2, went to the pharmacy (had the paper prescription for one still), good to get it. Only got one though, as they were out. Called this morning to get it at another pharmacy. Later this afternoon I got a call about test results - I need two more medications. I also need to go to the clinic tomorrow to get more medications.
To summerize- 1 medication pharmacy A yesterday, 1 medication pharmacy B today, 2 medications pharmacy A today (I hope, Chemguy is getting it, along with one he needs), clinic tomorrow for blood product.
Routine? I don't feel like I have one other than being at pharmacies/clinics often. Vacation from managing illnesses? Nope!
Things are mostly good though, skin is improving and the results/new meds should help more. The 'managing' just gets tiring at times. I would love to take a vacation from it without it affecting my health or it happening out of need where someone else takes over.
