Nancy, sorry to hear about the lousy weather, hopefully you can do the scavenger hunt on a much nicer day!

Some of you may remember that one of my team was no longer with our org the other month. Our company decided to not only not post for a new employee position we needed, but also to not post the leaving employees position.
Logical consequences, the contractor who had been holding out for a full time position with our org just gave notice

Now we are 2 down, with 2 newbies and a greatly expanded workload

Frustrating

Wife feels fine. She's now noticeably pregnant. Further echo scan showed all the fingers and toes you would expect, and no extras. We're still upbeat and looking forward to this.

is that a new bennie from your work?

either way, glad you & your wife still engage in the irrational human condition :3

(unless its immaculate--then some Deity is gettin a black eye or somethin?)

Sounds like where I work too pinga... slow, slow, slow to replace people who are moving on or going on mat leave ... I suppose they think they're saving money, but it sure doesn't seem that way from my POV.

yup, vrey frustrating. there is a decision pending which may imply outsourcing their tasks to a vendor, so..hence the decision to not post, but, seriously...the ripple effect just keeps happening.

feeling tired.
Also got not great results from a standard medical test...so now more testing. just one of those things that sits on you and you know it is impacting your mood.

oh booo ... I went for a medical this week too ... glad my doc keeps track of all this stuff, but now I've got a bunch more appointments to follow up with ... sigh. I really just want to garden.

Is this called efficiency ... or an internal gnawing order? Best if left ineffable ... unspoken void of thoughtfulness to the consequences? In the book A Theory ... the author labels this pathological failure ... allowing place for pathologists who examine the past instead of present results. People who act for present sense ... do miss this aspect ... it is a position of visionaries ... where do the aeries go ... buried as Eire heads? You cannot say direct criticism of such powers ... thus the aphorism ... distantly related to meħa forest ... a Shadowy icon of something else like a dark metaphor, allegor-I, the planc others peak out at as from a fiery position ... kerygma? Perhaps that's "chi" ... or X marks despot in an existence with mental-emotional chaos! If one can transpose ... perhaps the turning can give one another perspective in time for the red-shift character ... that bloody cross in line "t" or "f"?

Tuck in "time machine"or phoqah 'd as in a rae population of lighter folk, drifters in thought ...? Intangible trick of in verse pathologist ... :ROFLMAO: upsetting that's te way it is here until the Great Escape ... a particle at rest as nothing within the world of movers? PAC a'mon ... :) makes the unseen one shimmer from internal domains ... the lost temple place for strange loves and alien thoughts corporeally un acceptable! Just the way it is ... pathe ...

Just face it as a consequence of time ... a sense of timeless rationale ... some non-thing we can't yet see while in this fluid state ...

Wife flew to Calagary on business this morning. School calls me at 10:30 to say my daughter is sick and pick her up. New job. Ugh. Now she has to stay home for 24 hours, min. Maybe I can get her back in class for noon tomorrow. 24 hours symptom free is the rule, but she really has been better since lunch. She only felt a little queasy this morning, then it passed. She was home yesterday as a precaution because of a moderate fever, but that was gone by lunchtime yesterday.

Oh well, it's not that bad. I don't have too much to do yet.

I had a few of those sick days. Once Little M got sick just after Mrs. M left for Shanghai. Now that he's older, it is less of a problem so you have that look forward to (well, except you have another little one en route). OTOH, teenagers come with their own wonderful sets of problems.

I can relate. As a single parent it was a struggle. School would call. I'd say "has she stopped throwing up yet?" If yes I'd say then I'll be there within the hour. If no-I'd be there within 15 minutes.
I also had a superb group of friends who would take my kids when not acutely ill but not quite well enough for school.

it seems like one of those inevitable things @chansen! A colleague came back to work two weeks ago after mat leave; by Friday the daycare was calling about her child having a fever. I remember it happening to me too. Glad to hear your sweetie is feeling better!

yup, the balancing. I felt bad for my BA. She wsa trying to balance a baby with a temperature of 103.something, and our go-live.. Not sure she slept much.

Oh Chansen that sucks. I remember my sister in law saying that as soon as my brother got on the plane a kid would get very unwell and/or something major would break in the house (furnace, roof, etc) and by in large she was right. I really do think that "Murphy's Law" applies.

There is a story told by R Fulghum on a highly plane weeding of impression .. where the bride projective vomited when nearing the alter ... speak of vast rejection of the impressionable show!

They giggled about it later ... like: "Dad don't go to work!" ... Excess labour is bad for your health ... have some humorous jinn's ... that's the spirit ... cos of unseen chimera ... distant shimmer felt as ripple 'n ether?

Saw my surgeon today. My GP said I should bring some of the issues up I had with him. That did not go well at all. For once, he didn't try to placate me with a wink and a smile though. I guess that works for some people, but I found that to be pretty condescending right from when I first met him.

Ah, a fellow hater of bulls**t. I hate being fed crap people think I want to hear. I loathe the feeling of being silenced.

Did you get some good answers, despite it not going well? Do you bring a friend or chemguy to any of your appointments?
