Room For All

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

A community where we discuss, share, and have some fun together. Join today and become a part of it!

Good morning! We've made it halfway through the week! Costco sample stories, continuing recovery from surgery, and all the other things from yesterday and today come with us to the Coffee Cart, where we sort it all out, support each other, and make more connections. With our tea and coffee this morning, the Wonderbaker has made cherries jubilee for us to enjoy. The jubilee is ready, tea water is hot, coffee is freshbrewed. All is ready, everybody is welcome. Come in and join the chats!

I had an old gent (4 years more ancient that I) tell me he goes to COSCO on Saturdays because handicapped spots are easier to find ... all other elders have the good sense to stay home on such days ... imagine that as abstract, dark and mysterious concoction ... all in the mind, soul, psyche complex that is deemed impossible by the emotional type?
Sorry; it slipped out ... Adam on the loose ... cursed be thy tongue ... like a goose ... what a flapper!

Some younger people only have the weekend to get shopping done, unless they’re being subtly hypnotized over time into feeling bad for not observing Saturday sabbath or something? It’s 2026. All other elders? Probably not. That’s not a fact. And younger disabled people use disabled parking too.

I actually am at Costco quite often on the weekend because I visit my neighbour in the city and except for having to wait to find a parking spot, I find that the line up to pay is often quite short, as they have all cashiers open plus those extra people who scan your stuff before you get to the front which makes it even faster. If you then approach the cashiers from the left instead of the right where everybody else is, your wait time is shorter than finding parking.

Was at Costco today. A younger woman than I nearly got run over in the parking lot. The driver avoided me and my cart and almost drove into the woman 10ft from me.

I remarked to her that I must be a city dweller now because I never even thought of trying to save her. Thankfully, she laughed.

There are some really funny things in life of poor humor ... the Brits use the word humor as a mood ... like bile-sh if dark and mysterious ... some spell it billie and others Guillaume ... and there the cutter of the Furies' Myth ... leaving behind the spin and weave ... in another domain the Muses ... all nein 've M ... leaving a sense of wander or wonder ... poorly construed!

Imagine reading Finnigan's Wake that in some traditions is a wash ... cause few grasp it ... never ending story? In a John you can flush ... homolytic? That's something other than you thought ... just broken ... puzzle? Like a broken people? Hard to gather ...

In another thread I'm not supposed to see ... they are talking about metaphorical biblical items ... baffling eh!

Good morning! Happy Thursday! I've been to Costco a few times, always with a member. If I were a bit closer I'd consider a membership. However... But if you enjoy it, please enjoy it. Anyway, the Room is open, the Coffee Cart is ready to provide a spot for us to chat, support, and connect, as well as drink coffee and tea nd indulge in the lovely fruit turnovers, courtesy of our Wonderbaker. The coffee is freshbrewed, the tea water is boiling, the turnovers are warm from the oven. All is ready to go, everyone is welcome to come. Come and join in the conversations!

I bought some dark chocolate there last week for the Misses ...

Costco by us isn't crowded on weekdays, especially in morning. I do not go on weekends.

I'm not a Costco fan as i don't like the huge quantities. I find I do better watching flyers and buying product we consume regularly on sale.

I have family that goes weekly. They do it partially for exercise in the winter.

We go for a few items, including dog food. It pays for the membership.

I like that they pay good wages for their staff. I never go to Walmart. And I can still get everything for the week in one stop. And if I can make someone choke, all the better.

In the marketplace are mortals under a great unconscious plan (rather autonomous)?

Imagine someone using the word "abstract" as saying it is not a prelude about what appears out of the dark ...

Word appears to be critical to how it is utilized ... pragmatic? Who would know? Thus some of us AD Lib to choke some parts ...

I don't shop much at Costco, even through we have a membership......someone should invent a smaller "seniors" version of Costco for those who don't buy in bulk.....including singles and couples etc.....

I've heard of senior's partnering up for purchases: when they get home, they split the large packs. that way they get the savings, but, don't have to have lots of it.

It's not just seniors who this would work for.

Our old house had very little cupboard space, and what we did have wasn't well laid out. It just didn't work to buy in bulk. It's not an issue now, and i recognize the privilege that brings with it.
