Getting an appointment with CNIB, fires and smoke nearby, getting a house ready to sell, moving in and kitchen re-doing, and all the other things going on, they come with us as we gather for tea and coffee. Today we enjoy bear claws with our hot beverages. As we chat, support, and connect, may our community become stronger. I've encountered this barrier to the desire for peace and quiet ... and the complaint that nothing changes! Imagine that as a human conflict in a soul that can't decide because of the stress ...

Renovations, deferred renovations, desire for peace and quiet vs. a new kitchen, miracle carpenters and cooks, and all the other stuff that arises, awaits us as we gather round the Coffee Cart for tea, coffee, and nice, fluffy croissants today. Good morning. Treatment day was yesterday. No plans for today. I started a good book yesterday so will continue it. William Kent Krueger is an excellent writer. Some minor household tasks may be done today.

I am bugged by some form of dermatitis on my arms this summer. Think i will give in and contact doctor next week based on pharmacist guidance. Just doesn't seem to be clearing.

Going to potluck tomorrow so deciding what salad to make. It's an organized potluck by the Lions Club for the small community.

It is very hot here. I wear a neck fan…it is saving me these days. After two days of babysitting a sick grandson, I got sick yesterday.On the mend today. Last night at the nursing home someone pulled the fire alarm. Although it was a false alarm, firefighters arrived on the scene. We were in the common area so had a ringside view. My sister’s question: do firefighters need to be good looking in order to be hired?

Good question. I haven't actually seen any up close in a while so hard to say. Are there still beef/cheesecake calendars of first responders being done for charity or have those finally gone by the board?

We had a couple false alarms in the building where we rented between moving to London and building our current house. Bloody PITA when you have a baby and I would have happily kicked the person responsible and not in a good place.

The London fireman I dated back in 1966 was decidedly good looking. Turned out he was more interested in conquests than relationship so he didn't last long.

Good morning! Happy Sunday! New books to read, new Netflix series to watch, grandkids going home after a visit, potluck to get ready for, hot weather and false alarms, attractive firefighters, and all the other stuff that arises gives us lots of things to chat about and mull over. The Coffee Cart is ready to host our gathering once again, as the tea water comes to a boil, and the first pot of coffee finishes brewing.
