My boss was talking about doing that kayak ride when we were driving to Cambridge a couple weeks ago. Something we might consider. I am not really comfortable in a kayak (prefer canoe) but my wife enjoys it.

Highly recommend Grand River Canoe. Exceptional company. Check out their yaks.
 
The rain woke me up this morning. It's a wonderful sound. Sadly, it's not likely to last long.

I saw the reports about trails in NS. Scary times. It's good they're putting those measures in place. It seems an ATV may have started the fire near us. I believe it was human caused at least.

Yes, I agree.
I am disappointed by my son and dil. They are mad they can’t take the side by side in the woods and blame the government.. Very common for people who get their information only from internet, but not from news sites. I must have done something wrong….

NO you didn't do anything wrong! You did the best you could and it is up to the youngsters to continue learning. I raised four and they each have their own 'style'. Some are more pleasant than others!
 
We have had heavy smoke all day. Still got fires closing a highway going north. The news has it closed/open/closed/open. We stayed inside feeling sorry for those who work outside.
 
We are just coming home from visiting friends up-island. We got a real rocking and rolling thunder storm around suppertime. A couple booms shook the trailer good. Thankfully it came with rain. Hopefully there were no lightning strikes to dry areas. We don’t need more fire.
 
On a serious note; but then if people do not take well to serious intelligence and knowledge does it go away like a vapor? That's what intelligence is like ... the wind! Has anyone observed it?

Last night while returning from Pub Choir in Fredericton we encountered an auto accident at an intersection when people ignoring red lights often encounter trouble. Just prior to the intersection as I was to proceed through a green arrow, a car jumped the red on his side and narrowly, I missed a head-on collision by hard braking.

Can anyone identify what is missing here?

No I didn't think there was an Ide ... these have all been set free to as to impose a Tar Ephe. passed off as taxing ... and few observe as they try to cheep the times ... raising the bar on denial and stupidity as well as other icons of items eliminated. It may allow 'oles as space to peer through if you are part of the dirt underfoot of those up there that do not know what supports them.

Is there consequence of totally removing the foot work? Fete accompli! We're Cloes ... to the dirt and bottom line ... I mean! Lost cause ... as we know little of purpose ... there maybe a a myth there ... covenanted! Is this contrary to Moses' in 10th?
 
Good morning! Thursday has come upon us. Sleepovers and camps, canoes on the loose, trails closed, and people disappointed, visits to friends, and thunderstorm on the drive home, and all the events and thoughts that come to us, we bring it with us to the Coffee Cart. Here we chat, support, and connect, over tea, coffee, and muffins of various types. The tea water is boiling, the coffee is freshbrewed, and muffins warmed nicely. All is ready, everyone welcome. I am up. Not exactly bright eyed and bushy tailed, just up.
The view from out windows is marred by smoke, and the forecast claims it will likely get worse as the day wears on, Oh well. A stay inside day again.
Actually feeling quite droopy after a busy day yesterday,. I made a delicious meat and veggie pie and a dozen pasties. Also had a long conversation with CNIB and snagged an appt for next month. Gaining access to these experts is as challenging as seeing my Family Doctor!
 
Spent yesterday tearing apart two bedrooms in my parents' house, one of them the room where I grew up. It still had shag carpet, lol.

We will get this house on the market this month if it kills me. And it just might.

It was supposed to rain here overnight. I see no evidence that happened. The rain was mentioned in the wildfire report, so apparently they got some yesterday. The thunderstorm we had while we were visiting our friends yesterday had a lightning strike that hit and split a tree. Thankfully someone saw it so the fire it started was immediately extinguished. Phew.

This is a photo taken from the park where we spent the last two years. They will be the next to receive an evacuation alert if the fire continues as it has been.

From another chord or thread of thought that went dark and hidden (subdued) did Jesus prove to be light in that sacred place where the unseen gather?

Catacombs? Thus that desert creature as a cat was probably a Jackal if it had a nose for virtue ... no sphinx a mass 've material existence ... counter to essence ...

Real folk have trouble differentiating matter and essence ... like Caesars vs physical god that have vaporized and reincarnated here as rock solid ... the evolution of Steller matter ... may fall like Moon Beam ... rae lings ... to work with words! Thus the spin ...

Straights just do not grasp it ... unless well tuned with the pitcher ... the later is prone to bursitis later in life ... burse Aries?

A "burse" is sometimes noted as a purse with a closed end ... bill folds into a fit of begging ...

Lightning is nasty stuff, even if it is also quite spectacular at times. Really the only natural cause for wildfires around in North America right now (in volcanic areas, lava flows and bombs can trigger them). That fire looks bad. Hope it gets under control so the folks in that park don't have to move.
 
Total fire ban in Barrie as of today. Don't remember such a dry summer. Glad now for the feet of snow last winter which got the ground deeply wet to start with.

I think we are finished the move-in as of today. Took out garbage at his place, swept and mopped and dusted. Left the keys for his landlord. A new journey begins. And the kitchen reno begins next week, so wish us luck.

Sending vibes for a successful project. Ours probably needs it. We replaced the floor and the door to the deck in 2019 (leakage from the door was causing the boards to rot) and the countertops more recently but the cupboards are still original. They don't look terrible but at least a refresh of the finish should be done. This year's reno budget went to the driveway, though.

I note a trend that people are giving up owning anything ... just go for control no matter how ridiculous ...

The baseline of super vizor EH blindness! If you can't see it "why worry?" The peril of Tigh'Tans ... divine diversions? Reciprocation ...

That circulates at times ...
