That's encouraging. They voted in the candidate they wanted. They shouldn't have to change because some guy on a power trip wants to be PM.

I've been hoping the CPC will have a leadership review and turf him. Of course that's extreme wishful thinking considering the timing.
 
Basically, if PP gets that seat, it's unlikely the caucus will vote him out. That should have happened before he was offered a riding.
 
Of course, one could always hope the unthinkable would happen, and PP could lose the seat... Then I would think he would be "strongly encouraged" to resign as party leader. But that is unlikely to happen....
 
On the plus side, rural AB is not a fan of absentee MP's so there is a strong contingent that would vote against him on that alone
 
Need to be careful who I talk to! Just got verbally blasted by my next door neighbour who I discovered is 100% anti-Carney, anti-Canada, pro-Danielle, pro-separation and more. Ouch! And I really ticked her off when I said Treaty Land covers pretty much ALL of AB, not just the reserves, so no, separation is not possible or a given.

So much for the contention that separation actually makes things better for the indigenous nations, eh. Not that anyone really believed that here anyhow.

In other news, did you hear the latest AB govt scandals (gee, we seem to have one almost every day) - $250,000 spent to replace the rug/carpet in Danielle's office. And, her flight to Florida cost taxpayers around $10K and we don't know how long her meeting with Trump was, nor was there anything positive come out of it.

Seems like they need to get their house in order before they talk about trying to be a nation.
 
If they kept Danielle as leader of this great new nation (and you know they'd be crazy enough to do so!), she'd bankrupt it in a handful of months - she spends money like it's unlimited just for her.
 
Doesn't nation building including gathering of bodies, minds and hearts ... even when the hearts are opposed and convicted that the other (Alter) is a demon?

Apparently I'm the "enemy" now because I don't believe what she does. Interesting part of the conversation - she made the comment that people are entitled to their opinion (re wanting to separate), and yet, I'm not entitled to MY opinion to disagree with separation. I'll leave them alone for awhile and wait for the tension to hopefully diminish.

In my experience when I have run across people like that they usually are having some kind of personal battle I know nothing aboot

Enough to be anxious and angry and afraid of in this world
