If the biggest threat facing Canada is American tariffs and Crime Minister Carnage believes that he is the only person who can defend Canada against Donald Trump, why did he go to Europe instead of going down to Washington?
Canada’s strength, WC, lies in its ability to build bridges. Carney heading to Europe is about strengthening our alliances and diversifying our partnerships. It’s about ensuring Canada is resilient on a global scale. We’re a nation with a voice and vision that extends far beyond being America's neighbour

He did swear allegiance to keeping secret all matters revealed to him as a member of the King's Privy Council for Canada - so the proof of that will be in the pudding I guess.

Is being for and against something that isn't sensible ... somewhat of an enigma? Lord forgive them because of some mystery admonishing their thoughts ... we wonder how it goes there!

In a dissonant domain is there bound to be disorder to illustrate entropy so we can recognize it when dropping into that hole thing?

Profound and well out of sight ... what dirt and mire is for ... to cover for diabolical process ... shadows cast with levity ...

Seems like a bit of a waste of God's time to pray for that. My eyes were okay within a couple days when I had mine done. I pretty much just stayed off my computer until my vision got better. Listened to podcasts on my phone and things like that.

Should we be starting a pool on whether Parliament actually resumes in a week as planned or Carney calls an election when he gets back from Europe? A lot of pundits seem to be leaning to the latter.

I would vote on him calling an election sooner. I mean there's the argument that he can spend time proving himself. That also gives PP and his crew to build more attacks. Calling an election now has the potential for him to use the current good reviews he seems to be getting. It gets him elected so he can be in the House. It also gives us some stability of knowing what our government looks like as we head into these crazy times with our unstable neighbour.

Poilievre is full-on trying to poison the well. They've pivoted from having sex with Trudeau to having sex with Carney, almost effortlessly, but are having trouble trying to explain why they want to have sex with Carney.

Personally, Justin is better looking.

Getting a seat for himself and a renewed mandate for the party would definitely increase Carney's credibility. I am usually a fan of minorities, which are technically more democratic since two parties having to work together usually ends representing a higher percentage of the vote than one party with a majority. However, under current circumstances, I could live with a Liberal majority. Trump has the American equivalent of a majority government in that his party has both houses in Congress so a majority here would probably help in countering him. I am also concerned about the instability of a minority given I am not sure Singh will work as well with Carney as he did with Trudeau (and, let's face it, even him and Trudeau was a shotgun wedding). In fact, I would not at all be surprised if a Carney minority ended up allied with the Bloc instead of the NDP if the math worked out.

Personally, Justin is better looking.
But money is sexy and Carney has spent most of his life playing with money. :giggle:

I've been quite disappointed in Singh lately. He needs to use his backbone better. He has vacillated between supporting the government and expressing a desire to bring down the government. His public statements lately haven't been great. I suspect if the NDP do as poorly as expected in the election that there will be a leadership race.

That he's pro carbon tax
ty for the clarification

Canada's Cabron Tax he was heavily involved in creating and promoting

Thus some people going "huh?" at this

It would be like say Pfizer promoting Ivermectin for Covid lol

Personally, I can see it from multiple povs

I have an NDP worker in the family right now. Not sure he wants the election until Ramadan is over, though. :)
Love the end of Ramadan when I can hear all the practitioners praise Allah followed by the nummy smells suffusing the atmosphere *waggles eyebrows*

Alas, another thing I will miss aboot the GVRD
