We had a nice visit with my sister and her husband. We went to the fancy restaurant and had a great meal. It's a slow paced restaurant anyway since it's where you go to leisurely dine. They were very busy today and probably short staffed so very slow. The food was good though and we weren't in a rush.

The storm didn't materialize though my sister got home to no power. We did take a just in case bag each in case we had to spend the night. We're home now after a wet drive home that's typical of the area at this time of year.

Good morning! For remembrances of Christmas Eve services, visits and meals and presents, safe trips home, hydro lost, for another day of great memories we give thanks. For those whose holidays were not so shiny bright, we are hear for you. Let us gather in Spirit round the Coffee Cart, to chat, support, celebrate, commiserate, and to drink tea, coffee, eggnog, hot chocolate, etc. and enjoy the warm leftover cinnamon rolls and fruitcake. All is ready, all are welcome. Happy Holidays! Come on in and join the conversations!

Enjoying my morning coffee with the Christmas tree lit up. I have unloaded the dishwasher and it is running now for the second time. I managed Christmas dinner just fine by adjusting my insulin. My blood sugar reading this morning is perfect..

Will undecorate the tree later. This is a task I like doing on Boxing Day. The poinsettia looks like it will last for a while.

Had the kids over (they're in town and staying at her mother's place) just for snacks and a visit. We had dinner with them on Christmas Eve. Today they are heading to Toronto, I assume for a family get together since her brothers live up that way, but we might see them again on the weekend. So a quiet family Christmas with nothing too big. It's kind of how I like the holiday nowadays.

Today, we've got some shopping to do. Nothing really Boxing Day related, just have to replace a busted suitcase before our winter vacation and some other practical stuff like that.

Is va cation like a holiday ... a hole in irony to many? Thus we leave it and get into something else again ... the great void?

Do not forget the anions or the item is charged like a synapse ... eclectic ... cry mean river? The story goes on as mortals don't know any other way ... truth doth be wasted ... as few wished to know other wise ... M's departed!

I could do that.

Honestly, I could do better than that.

Though the explosion behind is not something I normally deal with.

Our last Christmas is Sat, January 4th, so Christmas will still be setup for a while around here.

Sometimes it is the simple things.
I was gifted a new logitech mat that is quite long, but still gives room for a coffee cup to the side.

I was playing with new software for designing machine embroidery patterns, and was challenged by the lack of precision of my mouse when it was just on my desk.

I'm guessing my spouse heard my "argh"s

It was nice to come home to our own space last night after a nice visit. It's even nicer waking up in our own space. The wind warning has been lifted. The rainfall warning continues. We have no place to go so let it rain.

We just had morning coffee with some terribly unhealthy fudge that Mr Curler made as part of our Christmas treat supply. An added bonus was watching the neighbour's grandkid playing on the park with his dad. There are a couple of huge snow piles deposited when the Kinsmen cleared their yard area for some construction. They built and maintain the outdoor skating rink and bought a small Zamboni last year that needs a place to live.

We considered it a plus to buy a house with a playground across the street. Others have asked if the noise bothers us. We never thought of the sounds of playing children as 'noise'.

We have a 2 1/2? year old next door....and we have a very long driveway with a great slope.
He has discovered that sledding down our driveway is a lot of fun.
Our dog stands by the window watching when they are out.
It is nice to see wee ones having fun.

Across the road, they have a small marshy area, that freezes overs.
Standing invitation to go skating on it.

Good to see people enjoying the outdoors.

I'm currently thinking of games for the family for the4th.
A lot will depend on weather, but, thinking there may be an outdoor scavenger hunt.

I also like the idea of Find the most Christmas-related objects (indoors).
Figure that i can end the evening with them all undecorating my house!

Quiet here today, but we will have company tonight for supper and cards (Hand and Foot). Christmas Eve and Christmas Day was a flurry of family, kids, food. Last night, our middle child messaged me his worries....His 3 month old was at Emergency, very, very sick. I worried all night (like that does any good), and offered to help out with the oldest son so son and daughter in law could catch up on some sleep. She doesn't want anyone around, so...here I sit, resuming my worry. If I believed in prayer beads, they would be worn out now.
