I don't actually consider green peppers a legit ingredient. They are unripe bell peppers and have many unpleasant gastro effects on many people.

Too much green peppers. I mean, I have had green peppers in a Greek salad, but half?? Let me guess, they also skimped on the olives and feta.
Three olives and they probably could use more feta. Too many onions too. I do like onions. Just not that many.

They just taste nasty.

I think it's fairly common to have some green peppers, but shouldn't overwheldoesnt sound very good northwind

Our favourite Greek restaurant has a couple green peppers. Hubby gets those. I get his olive and we're both happy. I can give up the green peppers and still have lots of salad.

There are balances in these sort of salads. Sounds like an imbalanced salad. I like my purple onion fine, tons of chunky plum tomato and cucumber, lots of a couple of different olives, black predominating, lots of good feta, and a dressing that focusses on a REALLY good EVOO and a decent splash of three leaf balsamic.

Good morning! How is everybody? For weather, for self-imploding coaches, B&E perps caught, for menu order screwups, green peppers and olives, for all the other stuff that comes up in conversation, we gather round the Coffee Cart to chat about it, and find or give support, over coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Holiday cookies and fruitcake are warm from the bakery, coffee is fresh perked, and tea water is boiling. All is ready, all are welcome! Come in and relax, have a mug or cup and something for it to wash down, and join the conversation!

Most of it sounds great, Redbaron. I've honestly never seen fruitcake that's "warm from the bakery"

I will accept "terrible from the bakery," "bulletproof from the bakery," or "inedible from the moment of conception."

Not a fan of fruitcake? I am one of the weirdos who really likes it. Especially the magical calorie-free version.
Am not a fan myself, but... I would be willing to try a small piece warm from the bakery. Because I never have before and, hey, who knows, I might like it that way

If you want to be REALLY decadent, try some warm custard sauce with the warm fruitcake. Better stop talking this way and go eat a normal breakfast. :)
Ooh, great idea. Or, I was just thinking - maybe some ice cream. Have a good breakfast

Yeah. French vanilla ice cream would be great. Might go for broke and eat a bran muffin for breakfast. Surprisingly 30 grams of carbs or two starchy choices on my diabetic meal plan.

Yesterday I made leffse. We don't honour Mr Curler's heritage with cod fish soaked in lye.

Water often just lies there ... then it can take on other forms ... exposed to strong light it can have fluoresce as a plasma-like effect ... it is a type of odd shine!

In application it causes absorption and emission spectroscopy to function ... those blind to it find it difficult observation! My late B-i-l was attached to the fishing industry and he called it a looming up when winter fogs appeared ... causing optical peculiarities!

You cannot speak of this to some folk because they never heard of it ... kind 've mystical ...
