Did either of the neighbours buy where they moved as there may be tax implications
As I said, the ones next door are in a retirement home so renting so no issue there. Not sure about the ones two doors over who were renting it out. I just know they are in the GTA now.

Mac vs Waterloo absolutely depends on area of study -- both are excellent overall, but Med School or Birthplace of Blackberry?
This. Frankly, speaking as a Waterloo arts grad, I would probably only choose them for Math/Comp Sci or Engineering. I went because it was local and I wasn't ready to move yet. Optometry, too, since I think they are the only program in Southern Ontario.

Mac is a bit broader based, but is definitely an option for Med School. Little M's friend, whose dad is an endocrinologist here in London, is going to Mac for medicine.

For some reason, I never receive any notifications for this one thread. When I click on "New Posts," posts on this thread never appear. Afaik, this is the only thread working this way in my case. Why does it do that. Assistance please
The “Room for All “has you on ignore. Interesting. Seems to have a life of its own.

@Jae

I have done this by accident.
If you look near the top, there is an "unwatch" / "watch" button.
Odds are you have clicked on the unwatch for this thread. Click on where it says "watch" and you likely will start seeing it.

Psychology.

My dad was superintendent on Mac's Psychology building (and Life Sciences building) back in the early 70s, so that's his vote.

I'm going to recommend Trent tomorrow. Smaller school, then she can contrast that with Western or others later and decide if she wants smaller or bigger university. Areas of specialty offered will play a bigger role, but it's a consideration.

When I was busy with other stuff and did not go to threads when I received notifications, those threads stopped notifying me. At one time this fall I received no notifications for a while.

Actually, I'd bet he has Busymom on Ignore, maybe by accident. Ignoring the thread starter basically blocks the whole thread I find. Bit of a bug, really. @Jae, if what Jayne suggests doesn't work, click on your avatar and username in the top right to get the user menu, then choose Ignoring to see who you have on Ignore. If one is Busymom, then click on her and Unignore.

So many changes in life to cope with as we move through it....
It becomes quite problematic as we age differently. I would prefer to live in an apartment/condo situation. I'm not super mobile and a place like that would give me more human contacts. Few people come to our house. Selling it would take away my guy's woodworking joy and he would find filling his day quite difficult. Also, of course, it would be almost impossible to not feel like we were living in each other's pocket.

Thank you, Jayne. You were right, I had (though I can't recall putting the thread on "unwatch"). Anyway, I do appreciate your reply

I hear ya!

We just got back from lunch with friends. We thought there was going to be 8 to 10 of us. There was 20 or so. It was a great bunch. New friends and old. We were going to go for a walk afterwards but the atmospheric river is still flowing. Now I'm home with Sirius and a book.

She made the call. Going to Trent tomorrow. The signups for an official tour tomorrow are full. We'll start on our own and see if we can crash it. I have a way with words.

If not, we continue on our own.

Good morning! Housing issues, sell or not to sell, move in or move out, etc.; for the mysterious 'ignore' function that causes confusion when used unintentionally; for universitie tours and choices; for all the other stuff that comes to mind on a Monday in late October;we are here for it. The Coffee Cart is up and running once again with fresh brewed coffee, hot tea, and squares and brownines fresh from the oven. Come on in, have a cup or a mug, enjoy the baked goodies, and join the conversation. All are welcome!

Tour d'Ontario is at an end.

Ugh.

At least I found my belt sander. My dad swore he didn't have it. My dad had it.

Forgetful ... the human mind is capable of so many things if one believed and grasped the concept? I'm told by numerous pious friend that all the is maybe powerful willies ... (watch the media) it to can be dis made ...dismayed? All in the phonates ... dark mysterious chaos! People generally do not listen to the scripts ... too cryptic! They need to be sounded for depth --- that Twain character!

Midst of all the crap we have to process from simple perspectives! It gets deeper ... no end to ET!

Arrived at Trent without a tour booked. Visited the Recruitment office, made everyone laugh, got added to today's tour and they gave us free parking.

I'm heading out to get fasting bloodwork. My husband is sitting beside me crunching cheese and crackers after having eaten a very fragrant banana.

Can I smack him now?
