Room For All

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

A community where we discuss, share, and have some fun together. Join today and become a part of it!

How sad for the young dancer and the sick family member. Hugs all around.

I was in town today. I had brunch with church ladies then coffee with cancer ladies in the afternoon. Great discussions in both spots.

Now I'm home with long pants, a sweatshirt and knitting. It's raining quite heavily right now. He's hoping it continues for awhile.

Good morning! Wednesday has happened. As we think of dancing grandchildren, and parents who have 'other plans,' phone calls bearing distressing news, and the persons they affect, for chatting with groups, for rain where needed and dry weather where appropriate, and the other things that arise, let us gather round the Coffee Cart for support, conversation and community. All is ready; come on in.

On getting old ... recognize when your there by knowing your through the previous portion ... then it is all downhill and amazing the numbers that do not accept such reality!

People claim to have forgotten the past and then recognize the paradox as they try and do other things from way back ... surrounding limits will not allow it ...

Conceptualizing mortality? Many say this is evil and thus are blind tuit (around thing)!

Is there room in deep space for belief systems about mortification becoming ultimately isolated from the paradigm (the common populace having all intelligence extracted)?

May explain exorbitant expansionism as we irrationally market darker concepts of mystery ... having little experience with the items of draw! This may contrast affiliation wit vast denial powers ... exponential rejection of word as it emanates within poor reception!

Might the phobia of alienism create a glow over the horizon ... strange relating's ... unseen alchemy ... and greatest welling's ... blossoming ... the bust*ard is said to be the greatest land bird ... a road bird? As a turkey they run well ... catchy? I'm not confident on the matter ... like word such things are dense ... much to examine ...

Much like Jack Nicholson's views on women ... he too did not understand them ... however few will ask ... and others will be told nothing ... thus proving the existence of the thing ... ethereal deficiency as an abstract, many warped lines ... curios?

Thanks for the coffee.

It's that time of year when clean countertops are a must. Woke up to an small troop of ants on my countertop.

Our routine is my husband does dishes and cleans kitchen in morning as starting his day.

I do dishes and some basic cleaning (wiping down stove, countertops, etc.) after dinner. We usually have ant issues in Spring, April-May, rather than summer. I do see the odd one but of late, I've seen more earwigs than ants. That's indoors. We do have a couple big nests on our property but they seem to be species that stay outdoors for the most part.

A lot packed into the last few months. Had a really amazing vacation, some major highlights on the beach, met my youngest nephew. I thought I was doing a decent job of pacing myself but injured myself closer to the end, I think fatigue played a factor. Sorta typical, lots of activity and it happened in a parking lot  . I actually caught some air. Nothing too serious, but temporarily made my vision even worse.

Returned home to discover I am in a major battle with the healthcare system, hopefully will come out ahead before changes are made but it's a huge concern and just fighting for things like records to help hasn't been going well.

Spring decision to get a booster was the right thing - had a great time at a cousin's wedding, and is nice to see that part of the family have one as out of 8 people of our generation it was just Chemguy and I who had gotten married. Tried to take reasonable cautions, wore a mask in the church (older ventilation), Chemguy really didn't want to for the reception and it was a new building plus windows open so I didn't bother masking either. We both ended up with COVID. Best timing as much as there is good timing for it, at home, other than missing phototherapy I didn't miss any medical appointments, and booster was timed based on the event being a risk. I also caught the positive test before symptoms really kicked in. There was a bit, but considering the smoke I actually was doing better than expected. By the time I got my hands on paxlovid though - about 5 hours after the first phonecall - symptoms were getting progressively worse. Noticed a big change about 12 hours after taking that, I had paxlovid mouth pretty bad but that was moreso just annoying and wasn't 24 hours a day, probably something like 18. If I were to choose again between reduced COVID symptoms and paxlovid mouth I would choose paxlovid mouth. Fatigue is still higher than usual but I'm fairly confident it's not long COVID, just me taking longer than a healthy person to fully recover.

This past weekend I had a lake day with my nephews and played in the water with them quite a bit. That took all my energy I had for the weekend, but just being able to do what I did while there is a good sign.

Good morning! Ants and earwigs and other bugs, vacations and weddings and nephews, for all else that goes on, we are here with listening ears and caring hearts. Let us gather round the Coffee Cart, for community and conversation, and hot beverages of all kinds. All is ready, com on it.

See on the news that a discounted medical professional has gone to Ottawa (national health authority) with questions about toxins in the environment related to plastic poisons, odd algae and neurotransmitter irregularities that may standardize dementia! It appears dementia is working its way into teenaged targets due to the vast urge to mentally un process ...

Is that a stupid, ignorant or just path of incompleteness? Metaphor of incarnate abstract ... as it comes to us ... maybe a shade off from perfect? Thus a human leaning ... allowing an "out"!

Sending healing thoughts your way.

I wonder WHEN I'll get it again, not IF.
We are now at one year post-COVID and have managed three trips in that time (a driving tour of Quebec, a cruise to Bahamas, and a tour of Iceland) without a repeat. Perhaps our previous infections plus vaccination are helping. Will probably still get boosters again when there is an updated one.

Vibes to @ChemGal and @JayneWonders for their respective difficulties. Hopefully things get better from here.

We are now finally free to announce that there is now a Mrs. Little M. I've kind of alluded to it before but we have finally announced to our families so I figure I am safe to mention it here as well. She's also from London but they actually met as classmates in Ottawa. She's a Muslim of Pakistani descent, so they were married by an imam and my son is now a practicing (not sure about believing, but practicing) Muslim as well.

Congratulations!, I was wondering when I read you mentioning DIL.
Always exciting welcoming a new member to the family.
