Good'day all. Thinking of the folks who lived through the tornado in Alberta yesterday. Sympathy for those who lost their homes, or had them severely damaged.
We had a short, sharp storm that included some spectacular lightning and wicked wind. The power went out too. We feared we had lost part of one of our trees (won't know for sure until we get dressed and go out to look!) The little park across the road appears to have several big evergreens down. Soon be hearing about other damage around town I guess. So sad!
 
Recently had a discussion on taxes as benefiting society ... vast dissent over how the undeserving, underlying layer abuses government ... but not much said about the rich an powerful abuse as we strive for that position ...

Now a small percentage of the lower 10% of society seems to conflict with the 2% of the greater wealth escaping taxation to no ends! Who complains more about what they will leave behind on departure ... giving rise to weighted succession duty of taking more from the secession as mire vapours ... stink about Illegitimate Wills? The 98% thus can be eliminated from upper concerns ... a mental inversion ... again!

Few comprehend ... due to discouragement from above: "you don't need to know anything!" Perfect vectoring ... thus it goes ... the unseeing ayes ...

Our church has set live streaming and today is the first live stream. I'll be checking it out.

We went for a drive around and WOW. There are eight evergreens down on our little park. Around town there are LOTS of trees down, mostly evergreens of various types. What is truly amazing is with multiple dozens of trees down very few houses are damaged! Huge trees obliging laid themselves down in front of, behind and between the buildings in most cases! I don't have the official count but likely three damaged homes and maybe a dozen or so fences and a few dozen vehicles. Mind boggling, is all I can say
 
No storms or high winds around here, just rainfall that would make Noah rush to build a boat. Yeesh. It's never let up since I got up, even if it did drop to a light shower at times.

At least we won't have to water for a while.
 
And we have a day with zero clouds in the sky and a pleasant 23 or so.

I saw video of the storm in Didsbury. Holy s**t!!! It was crazy. Even if @KayTheCurler only got half of that it would be a wicked big storm.

So I didn't get to watch our church on TV. I may have misunderstood when they were starting the livestream or the gremlins got them. Oh well. I watched @GordW and his crew. It was a great service with a though provoking message on welcoming.

I finished a book by Philippa Gregory and now know more about the English civil war in the 1600's. I'll return this one tomorrow and pick up the third in the series.

After I finished the book I did some stitching outside. I'm back in my comfy recliner giving my neck a break.
 
Good morning! Happy Canada Day (observed)! Seems to be monsoon season here this ,morning, how is it elsewhere? As we remember those who have gone through windstorms and tornadoes, those who can help with helping find PowerPoints, those who are camping this weekend, in wind and rain, and as we remember other subjects and topics, we gather in spirit round the Coffee Cart, for conversation and community, and hot beverages. All is ready, come on in!

Could you folks please send some rain in this direction. It's dry here. The weather has been lovely. At the same time, too much sun makes a desert.

I'll be getting together with other ladies to stitch in one of the nicest parks in town today. The weather is suitable for that.
 
Lots to give away here. We barely have time to mow the lawn here before the next week of rain starts. Next sunny break is forecasted for Wednesday afternoon.

Including the strait islands...they remind me so much of the OK with their dry soil, pine trees, and dry rocks...

I am finding I am enjoying this beautiful heat. My new body. So now below 19 I am brrr cold. I look forward to seeing how 30+ feels.

"Quickly". :ROFLMAO: You'd probably have to go through ten years of regulatory hearings.

The rain has let up here for now. Even got out for a walk before dinner. 30% chance of showers tomorrow but otherwise sunny so that beats a full day of rain like yesterday.

From another thread of thought but should be connected (but isn't) if flighty is fey ... does that allow for feyth in extensive explosions of how gods get agitated at selves and break into Cherubim's and Seraphim's (Cherubs being red and Sarah coming to head up the development)? Could be a shrine or edifice of a growing great mother theory ...

Who will chez drive out when the great bore arrives for ogre NG? Thus dippers ... dash of spice on the other side of reality!
