I feel uncomfortable with people’s character being discussed in The Room. As I remember, , the Room was supposed to be a safe place, - and it doesn’t feel that way when this happens. Being safe should not be a time limited option or depend on present membership.

Oh, and in other news, my vehicle was pronounced terminal on Monday. I did spend the $400 and change to replace the wheel bearing which was going to fall off any second, but told them I'd just be careful with the brakes for the next few weeks, and listen for increasing noises in the remaining bearings.

I hate car shopping, and it turns out that the big guys' best friend is trying to sell a 2014 Subaru, manual transmission, for a very agreeable price, a little older than I'd planned but well-built vehicle, only two owners, both immaculate types.

Impreza?

Always liked Subarus. They can suffer engine oil consumption, and their flat boxer engines can be a pain to work on and therefore cost more to service, but for where you live, it's generally a smart choice. That AWD can be handy.

We had a 2000 Impreza Sport that we sold in 2014. It's probably still going strong. It was a great car. We would have gotten another Subaru if the local dealer hadn't been dreadful. Driving five hours to get to a dealer in Edmonton was not attractive. I would get another Subaru though now that we have a Rav4, I'd happily get another Toyota.

I'm still driving my 2008 Forester ... leaking head gasket and all ... is good on other efficiencies ... but due for the dead heap!

Great for carrying service matterial to the cemetery ... shovels, picks and such pointed instruments of essence ... good for the Gnosticizing (burying)! Still people don't understand what goes on there ... transmutation ... these essences may get loud after dark ... ghastly ...

Anyone watch Ghost, Monsignior or Catch 22 lately? Consider the chance of corruption ... some are spoiled even before they get to that stage ... and then that step down from the world stage --- Shakespeare! Damn ... rest ... there is that sentient nature that it coud be escape ... thus some let go with glee!

Imagine head leaks ... quiet dispositioning ... to dei laughing like a demon ... so many stories yet unheard ... subtle tyees! That'd bother the live ones ...

I'm feeling frustrated with some of the current policies.
My hepatologist, I was confused when I would see him after the first appointment. MRI was scheduled, but no appointment booked to discuss the results. I am used to specialist appointments being booked months in advance. So I called - tone was a little short - we call you when we're ready to discuss the results and book. Ok then, would have been nice to have had a heads up about how things worked there as it isn't standard.

I had my last MRI about a year ago, no follow up after, not super important to discuss that as I see what the radiologist wrote, but I am not certain of the current monitoring plan. My last hepatology appointment summer of 2021 (and other than the first all have been phone appointments). If you don't see a specialist here at least once within 2 years. So I called just to see when I should expect the next appointment - they book me in for this month and seem glad I called. Makes me wonder what would have happened if I didn't contact them.

Got a letter describing check in procedure. They are part of the hospital but have a clearly separate building with a walkway to the hospital. The doors directly into the building are locked, I have to walk through the hospital, the letter describes a handful of minutes long walking, plus a difficult door. Not sure how having people walk unnecessarily throughout the hospital (twice as I have to go the same way to leave) is helping lower COVID risks.

I agree with that part absolutely. I'm wondering about the board as a whole. Is this something we all believe and want? Does management want more than that? I realize I am treading on thin ice with that questions. I have my reasons

Fair point about keeping this thread safe.

But I think there is some nuance involved. I have just reread the conversation in question. It began with a comment about Mystic's suspension and then morphed into recollections about Jae.

FWIW I see the comments as addressing Jae's behavior more than his personality or character. Jae had a big impact around here and there may still be a need to process some of those feelings.

I share @chansen 's concern about the anonymous mods account. There may be occasions where using it would be wise but I see no reason it was necessary here. The mods should generally identify themselves I feel.

Moot point whether any of this discussion should be here or on another thread. In real life when people gather around a coffee cart they discuss anything and everything.

Yes there was no need for purple at that point. The purple writers could have monitored the situation from the sidelines rather than acting.
