Tried Wentworth and didn't like it. One of the main characters was in the The Heart Guy (which is great). It doesn't seem to be on Netflix though.

OITNB we enjoyed.
It's not for everybody, it was the opposite for me I liked it more than OITNB.

I don't know anything about a secret menu. Perhaps I'm not in the right group. ;)
Yer sekrit is safe wit me
The category links or are you referring to something else?
I don't know what a category link is?

I am trying to find oot what the "sekret menu" is? As I came across it in one of those annoying ads and it disappeared lol

Of course I could just duckduckgo it lol

I don't know what a category link is?
Netflix actually has listings of videos in various "playlists", mostly categories. If you know the codes, you can build a link directly to the category you want. This article is one of a number explaining it.

They don't really advertise these, hence the "secret" part.

It's pure escapism. Sometimes that's exactly what I need.
"Fantasy is escapist, and that is its glory. If a soldier is imprisoned by the enemy, don't we consider it his duty to escape? The moneylenders, the knownothings, the authoritarians have us all in prison. If we value the freedom of mind and soul, if we're partisans of liberty, then it's our plain duty to escape, and to take as many people with us as we can!”
JRR Tolkien

(He has a wonderful essay on escapism too)

Is fantasy then abstract literature and thus differing with hard and persistent literature that well has little give and take? In descriptions of genre literature it is explained through 2 circles overlapping ... genres are a mystery to some folk ...

Within the WASP frame
Fantasy is a distraction
A frippery

Still some kind of literature needing profound interpretation on the first shine that came off the item as topical ... realize no one will investigate the innards because of the darkness of the sol thing there buried ... not superficial!

Is superficial sort of hyper whereas hypo might get under one's skin, shell, or hide ... the cows outside ... Vashti ...

Hi folks . I have put Alaska Daily on PVR. I have watched one show, not sure about it. Will keep watching.

I have really enjoyed the show Tribal. It's from APTN. First season is available on CBC gem.

I did not like the partner in first show, but dang the show has grown on me.

My guy decided we ought to watch All's Quiet On The Western Front. So depressing as it depicted the violent stupidity of war. So last night we chose Crip Camp wheich was more inspiring. Too bad though that disabled people continue to face discrimiination.

Crip Camp is a good one! There has been lots of discussion here about it. On another thread I believe.

I like Ricky Gervais. He usually does stuff with a bit of meat to it. I didn't find it overly British, but then, maybe I wouldn't...

To me, it was like a salute to finding the sacred in everyday life. To ordinary people, in ordinary situations, kindness matters.

I just recently discovered the series "Manifest". It is about a plane that flies from Montego Bay to JFK and lands 5.5 years later. The people on the plane have experienced two days while those on the ground have lived through five years. All manner of weird things happen to the passengers in a addition to them having to adjust to their new lives.

I also watched the final season of Dead to Me. It was weird yet had a very good ending.

Both series are on Netflix.

A Bad Moms Christmas on Netflix

Okay I wasnt going to admit I watched this movie, but I do have to admit it made me laugh, alot.
Theres quite a few F words throughout, but it is a star studded cast.
If youre into campy humour and possibly some remembered familiarity when your Mom came for Christmases, then go for it.
It reminded me of the campy humour that the movie " Bridesmaids" had, and I liked that movie.
