Yeah, it can longer a while as well. Enjoy. I know I'm not.

I don't have a lot of symptoms any more, but I was coughing again last night. It's not fun.
I still have coughing fits at times but we are getting into my allergy season and postnasal drip sometimes triggers coughs, too, so starting to be uncertain as to how much I should still be attributing to COVID.

They also have an extraordinary e-scooter programme & those go on the bike lanes. Once registered in the programme, you can pick up scooters from all over the city - ride to where you're going & just leave it there. They are not returned to 'stations' as many such bike programmes are. They all have some sort of GPS locator, so they can be picked up the next person & off they go. They get picked up by staff periodically & redistributed. It was quite amazing
I wonder if Kelowna has a similar system. We saw bikes all around just apparently left in random spots. They were all the same.

Yeah, it's been long enough that I have my doubts, but it just "feels" similar to almost 2 weeks ago when I definitely had covid.

Either way, I'm not amused.

2/10, would not recommend.

It's not, but she hypothesizes that people on bikes are very aware, whereas e-bike riders seem to think they're on a small motorcycle and drive accordingly.

And healing thoughts to the COVID sufferers among us.
I suppose that's on the rider. I bet cyclists will ride them like bicycles. Non-cyclists may consider themselves motorcycles, without the power to get out of tight spots. Cycling requires a bit more planning ahead.

Sounds like fore thought or prescience ... not believed by an essence of the masses! Live in the instant ... thus all else isn't ... or manifest ... appearing other than it is as a shape shifter!

Things that bug yah ...

This last wave is catching more people that I know, including ourselves, than any of the other waves.
Whereas many people I know in real life got it with the 6th wave which was particularly bad here. Especially families with kids, it swept through schools and daycares.

Oooo - that's a beautiful trail MrsA!! Can't wait to see it with all the fall colours too.

Seems like many here managed to miss covid for the 1st 6 waves but masking being dropped is an issue. :(

@Kimmio Laughterlove hope you feel better soon!
Remember
Omicron etc is so infectious that even when in a restaurant and you eat or sip, having to remove a mask?

Plus it is in animal populations now :(

We have to learn not to be over anxious by now--this is with us forever?

Self care
Meditation
Remembering to laugh
Spending less time online
And watching the "news"

Masking still helps though. I have to take my mask off during phototherapy, so it certain does help if those in the waiting room are masked. There's also been a few waves of Omicron.

The same applies to many situations, ie. someone sitting somewhere needs a drink, others masking near them helps.

Covid is now endemic. We have done okay with flattening the curve. We could have done better.

I have a neighbour complaining on Facebook that we've traded freedom for safety, and how that's bad. I'm struggling to see how more sick people is "freedom". I'm struggling to see how a simple act of wearing a mask is an absence of freedom.

Freedom had come to mean "no inconveniences and no responsibilities". I don't subscribe to that definition.

Although the healthcare system really isn't managing well. Not completely due to COVID, but I do think masking rules in place would still help with some of that pressure.

We visited friends in the Peace who held this view. I wasn't surprised by him. I was surprised and saddened by her views. They do live in a city that has a high percentage of Freedumb fighters. They also had a high covid rate during the peak (or one of the peaks) of covid. I've decided to walk away from them. It's not worth it.

Social distancing is taking on a new meaning.

I've been told by this neighbour, to my face, that it's impossible to talk sense to me because it's like trying to tell a fly that honey is better than s**t. I mean, how do you even respond to that? Most would agree it's just not worth it.

Of course, I'm not most. Now I try to not engage him when no one else is around, and wait until there is at least some kind of audience. Often his wife. Then the challenge is to make his wife laugh at him.

I do so enjoy it when people give me license to be more sarcastic. It fills the blackbelt-shaped hole in my life.

What does that even mean?
