I'll take a plateload of those. Figuring out how to shore up part of a counter until we feel safe and ready to get contractors in to replace it. As Bones McCoy might put it, "Damn it, Jim, I'm an IT manager, not a carpenter." Quiet weekend here, though. Sunny and decent temps. Getting hot on Monday, though.

We learned yesterday that the research group at Western that does research on severe weather had confirmed that the derecho spawned two small (EF1) tornadoes in London, which explains the heavy damage in certain neighbourhoods.

I spoke to family in London (Westmount) and the storm essentially missed them. Go figure

Bacon and pancakes. Yum. Thanks.

We're starting the day with Stephen Colbert. Laughter is a good way to start the day

In London it seems to have been concentrated in the East and South. We are in the Northwest and just got high winds and heavy rain. Only two limbs down that I have seen. Down around Quebec and Ontario Streets, which is just East of downtown, they got hammered. Streets just covered in trees. Though a guy at work send a picture of a huge tree down in, IIRC, Mount Forest, which is West of London.

Need to slow down a bit and add in more allergy meds I think. Recovery from a throat attack today.

Good morning! Planting and windy weather, medication adjustments and pancakes and bacon. Weekend seems to be full of activities and thoughts. As the new day begins, let us gather in spirit around the coffee cart, and find support and comfort in the company. All is ready.

So yesterday, I did a first. I have been a regular consumer of cannabis for most of my adult life. Until relatively recently, people who did so were often in contact with some sorta shifty characters, and quality control/naming of strains was not a thing. You got what you got and it was bizarrely expensive.

Since then, with the advent of medical marijuana, and the gradual opening up of legal markets, I have used a variety of good quality on-line ordering systems (mail and local) for a quasi-legal purchase experience. It has been quite fun, and much less expensive.

But I needed a quick top up of some edibles to help sleep so thought I'd try the new shop that had opened up in a local plaza. I found it expensive, and the employees very young, but it was fun, and I got a nice sleepy time cold drink. My very first ever legal purchase of cannabis!!!!

Are legalistic terms as great as the powers believe it to be?

Was just reading how an American justice declared a man of colour not really a person covered by constitutional legality and thus crap ...

Some even say satyr does not exist on the world stage ...

Why only quasi-legal for the mail? I stopped paying attention to all of the ins and outs.

Can't legally ship between provinces, to start. My on-line suppliers tend to have started as "medical marijuana" and slipped into a sort of grey market area. One of the differences between legal and not in Ontario is the strength of the edibles which one can acquire.

I would have thought you‘d be doing some gardening around that need.

Good morning, all! The new day has begin. From knitting to cannabis, from accidentally planting hemp (which has good uses in its own right), ad whatever else the day tosses our way, we gather around the coffee cart to support and chat, to devise ways to use up excess yarns, and to spin new yarns. All is ready, Come help yourself.

I have done; it's an uneven experience outside. There's all sorts of people growing stuff, and letting male plants stay alive, and there's a hemp farm right outside town, so one's most likely result, even with expensive feminized seeds, is "seedy weedy". Good for cooking and salves.

Good morning. We're getting ready to go to a local eatery known for spectacular breakfasts. A nap will likely be in order afterwards. We're joining a friend who is a local UC minister and who has never been. Good discussion will be part of the visit

The best kind of visit. Good discussion and good food.
