And one more important question. Is the sun shining today???

Yes!!!
It is right now. Might cloud over later per the forecast.

Might try for a walk but I have to cook lunch when Mrs. M gets home with the groceries so not sure when that will happen.

Oh Nancy - your Easter sounds like a spell of tough going! Sick hubby and adult kid to be concerned about too. Sure would be nice to know why adult kids decide they know better than trained experts! I have a couple of those too.

Yes, Kay...I know we all have our own worries. But lying awake in anxiety last night, I also worried about my oldest son, who is an amazing son and father, but...binge drinks as a way to relax. I always think my family is pretty common and pretty good, but when I look through a magnifying glass, I certainly see the flaws.

My mother-in-law told me years ago that worrying about one's children never ends.

Wise woman she was!
My son was going to start a business with a friend pre- covid, but it didn’t materialize and thakfully he stayed in his employment. ( meanwhile it turned out that friend now has lots of debt and another business he had started did not work out. Last week, he told me about another buddy who wants to go fully self employed and asking him to join. I understand my son wanting to get away from his employer, but he isn’t exactly the organized business type. I was worried. Thankfully, yesterday it turned out the buddy has quit his employment and the employer wants my son. Pay will be about the same, but he will have more responsibility and be more appreciated ( they get bonuses and education courses). Happy he didn’t jump into financial responsibilities and went self employed with the other buddy. Sleeping better now.

Threw in an extra infusion, oh what a difference!
I'm still in a bit of a recovery stage but it's funny how much of a difference that can make when no clear attack. Maybe a little bit of an abdominal attack yesterday. No obvious symptoms at the time but my belly is looking smaller today.

I'll get this all set up now, but I'm hoping someone can slip in early tomorrow and plug in the tea kettle and hit the 'start' button on the coffeemaker. There's a sunrise service (at quite a distance) I'm expected to be at, and I need to be on the road at OMG o'clock a.m. to get there in time. Thanks!

*Ape sees the setup and note.*

Good morning and Happy Easter! Coffee and tea are on for those stumbling in bleary eyed from sunrise services or just getting going on their day.

How's things? We had a dusting of snow last night here. Last time? Who knows? Winter seems more and ore reluctant to leave anymore.

We had 18 degrees yesterday, cooler and cloudy/ rainy today. I dug out the left over seeds and soaked the sweet pea ones. Time to start planting. Indoor shelf is ready.

We had a dusting of snow overnight as well. Still there when Lucy's dogwalking pal arrived. She was overjoyed, although it's gone now.

There used to be a charity, CNIB, I think, that sold potted crocuses in Feb/March. I'd always buy a pot and tuck the bulbs in the garden when the earth warmed a little. Most of my many crocuses come from that effort, although I think my Dad might have planted the little yellow ones scattered through the "rock garden", also known as the untame-able periwinkle patch.

Good morning, all! Thanks to Mendalla for getting things plugged in yesterday. Got to attend an outdoors Sunrise Service at a conservation area... in an inch of snow. Such fun walking the trail, pausing for a story and a song, and moving on. Looks like a number of you had snow as well, with some crocusses (croci? Crocusae? whatever the plural is). poking through. Anyway, the coffee cart is up and running, come on in.

I received a response to the reflection email I sent out for Easter and discovered I had pasted in the wrong document. The reflection was about Easter surprises and the response was a surprise to me. Clear, sunny, and minus 4 or so here in Hawkesbury.

Hahaha. Was the document you included about Easter, at least?
