People continue to be totally stupid as this continues. One of my grands is in a relationship with someone who has two kids from a previous relationship. So far my grand, the partner and the kids have stayed safe from the virus. The kids were scheduled to stay with their dad at the weekend. When he returned them he said he had just posted Positive for Covid. He was surprised because he had been told to isolate for several days and use rapid tests until today. Yesterday's test was positive - but by then he had spent a couple of days with the little guys! No Daycare for them until they get negative tests for the required time period. Presumably my grand and his partner will be expected to stay home from work too (without pay probably!).
It's in the country already. There's a number of medications that cannot be taken with it but hopefully between the 2 early treatments one can be used for those at risk.Health Canada has approved Pfizer's antiviral oral medication Paxlovid for Covid! When it will be available is to be determined.
Will point out though that at home tests aren't great if one qualifies for pre-hospitalization treatment. PCR tests pick up a positive test a few days earlier. Timeframe that PCR testing can be completed is a factor. For now, at least here a positive PCR test is required for those who are not in a group living setting. Waiting for a positive at home test then booking a PCR test is certainly not the way to do it.I stumbled across this Dr. Campbell from Britain this week on youtube. He's put out some pretty interesting, and IMO informative videos on various aspects of COVID.
Later on yes. I think right now though the supply isn't high enough. It's more of an individual benefit for those who can get it rather than a benefit for the healthcare system overall. I don't think picking an unvaccinated person with risk factors over someone who is immunocompromised is going to help society.I think if we keep in mind the goal is to prevent hospitalization,
Seriously, he is recommending Ivermectin!!!I stumbled across this Dr. Campbell from Britain this week on youtube. He's put out some pretty interesting, and IMO informative videos on various aspects of COVID.

I watched part of one of Dr Campbell's videos and then have had others show up in my YouTube feed. I haven't been able to watch more because he seems to support discredited treatments or approaches.
