Good morning! For boosters with minimal side effects we give thanks. For various and sundry types of weather that makes things interesting, and for other topics as they arise, let us gather in spirit round the coffee cart, for conversation and hot drinks. All is ready.

Chilly here and just enough snow on the ground to whiten and brighten things. More coming tonight it looks like.

Checking out, and doing some posting, on the new spiritual site I posted about in R&F. Seems like it is really something @Neo would have appreciated back in the day (doubt he will notice but I thought I would @ him just in case). Very much in the New Age vein he used to follow.

Good morning! Happy Advent! Today marks the first Sunday therein, a new beginning. Let us gather round the coffee cart, for warming beverages, and symbolically light the first candle.

Good morning. I'm sure you're surprised to learn it's raining here. It will be a quiet day between two busy days here.

Rain and BC just kind of go hand in hand right now, eh. Sounds thoroughly awful. More flood warnings and evacuations though I guess those aren't in your area. Hunker down with a book or movie or something, I guess.

Snow is the order of the weekend around here. Not a huge amount, just enough to whiten our world.

We should be okay for floods. The Lower Mainland and Interior are more at risk. Prayers for those areas will be in order

I may be a bit late for morning coffee break.. Regardless I'll put out some of this mornings goodies - they work for dinner or afternoon tea too. Help yourselves to sausage rolls and mince tarts - careful though - they are still hot.

Yum yum. Christmas food on advent 1. What could be better?

Good morning all! and thanks, Kay, for the baked goodies yesterday. We think today of those on both coasts who are dealing with more rain and weather, as we gather in spirit round the coffee cart. Hot beverages of all kinds are ready, come and get it.

My sister and I were talking (gloomily) on the phone yesterday...saying that it will probably be another lock-down Christmas in our city. Our COVID numbers are climbing. Rumour is that it got out of hand because our homeless situation got out of hand. It's spreading in the schools, families, industry, jail, and even the hospital.

I was listening to something on the weekend that suggested Ontario and Quebec may have opened up too much and that is a reason for the rising numbers in those provinces. I don't think BC is off the hook on that one. Theatres and such are full capacity for masked and vaccinated patrons. I'm not ready to attend a live theatre event in a full theatre just yet. They may need to step back on that a bit too.

Our theatres, etc., are not opening at full capacity. About 1/3-1/2, I would think, depending on how they space out patron groups, and the size of the groups. In the cinema, we can take off masks once seated. At the live theatre, masking maintained.

I have given up trying to keep track of what is and isn't allowed from week to week. I'm double vaxxed, wear a mask inside buildings except my home and stay away from group settings.
