Here, in the case of restaurants it's only places that aren't reducing their capacity. Plus like said, places can just choose to ask for it too, without being legally required to do so. I don't really pay attention to all the details as I'm still not going to any place where it would be asked for. I don't think essential businesses are allowed to implement it by choice.
Showing the QR code helps to reduce people forging a vaccine record.
 
Okay thanks...for some reason I thought places like Walmart and Costco would be asking because their capacity is quite large....too bad.
 
No, retail is not included. I am not sure what the rules are concerning capacity. I go to stores during off peak hours so it doesn't really concern me much.

I, too, am not going anywhere yet where I might be asked about Vax status. I printed it off but my session timed out before I could email myself the document.

To me it seems prudent to keep our contacts low for the near future. We are opening things up in ON but we have a track record of doing this too quickly.

So do I, but I am still concerned because these large venues will be untraceable and they are still going to be among those who are more cautious like yourself.
Right now Britain is having a hell of a time with Covid after they loosened their restrictions....so yeah, I suspect Christmas will be around the time our numbers will be going up.
 
Meanwhile China has locked down a city of 4 million (Lanszhou the provincial capital of Ganzu district) because of 6 Covid cases.
 
And now that the pandemic also pointed out that all nursing and retirement homes were not inspected on a regular basis, the government has announced that they are hiring more inspectors next year....hopefully one inspector for every two facilities and more frequent inspections with some unannounced.
Well okay, that's good right? Except they're hoping to hire former police to do this job. Is it just me, or does this seem like the wrong mindset and line of education for candidates for this job?

China has been spectacularly successful in controlling COVID but their tactics would likely lead to an armed revolution south of the border. Even here, I can't really see their kind of heavy-handed quarantining being accepted.

Needs to be people with some healthcare background since a lot of what you're looking for is health-related. Cops don't seem like an ideal choice beyond their ability to bully staff who try to stymie them.

In NS visitors for patients on inpatient units- unless they are palliative parients.
 
Its all beyond the box ... un contained passions ... free emotions leading to chaos ... respect that!

Some tho't and prescience required ... a misty concept for the masses ...

One of my kids who chose to refuse the opportunity to get vaccinated had to get tested yesterday. I struggle to understand this choice. Several relatives have already been infected, several relatives are in the 'fragile' groupings. So we all wait - one unvaxxed family member who has taken a chance on infecting his partner, his child, his father and his brother - plus the people he works with. That, of course doesn't mention those who may catch it from the people he infects (if any).

It is difficult to not vent and possibly alienate him!
 
I'm just realizing as I apply for new jobs, showing my vaccine proof, reveals my age, when they ask to see it during in person interviews.

Scott Peck wrote a novel on that topic! I have it stashed somewhere in the stacks ... like various bibles, never opened for fresh breath ... as it comes and goes ... win drift? Said to be foam off the waves ... at least in some traditions and the institutionalized wouldn't go that far!

There are bibles on all topics and fields ... mine was chemistry and water; stuff of ceruse matter ... heavy stuff!

It does come down by times to douse something ... divining? We go off figuring when it occurs ... resolving that there is something missing ... biers consideration!

Vast burnings nere do well if not whetted by times ... thus the NUs thought! Tis a loopy go round to those chasing desires blindly! These may bejerked out of the lower pools from time to time like Moby Dick ... but then it can go down the alternate way ... imagine the meaning of Ahab in Hebrew! D'well on it a bit ... Shekinah? Sometimes said to be ambient ... just there recessive ... like other characters ...

Eve was said to have 16 ... if you can get a grip on that!
