About 9 or 10 hours for us and then....the miserable expressway. When will Ikea have a store in Sudbury?
With that kind of travel time, I would think twice. Ikea is not very famous for having everything you need available the first time you go there. If its available before you leave, it might be gone by the time you get there. And unless it was just the NS store, my coworker even had ongoing trouble with putting the pieces on hold.

Good morning! As we mark the passage of time and passage of people, learn new craft techniques and plot out new furniture, as we compare travel time to the nearest IKEA or other such place, let us pause in our sojournings for hot beverages and conversations.

Why is it on a bright day like this we are told to bow our heads and close our eyes while the alternate is for those of us with eyes open to see the awesome mystery that other detract from ... substation of the populace for gain of the entitled ... when they don't even know all the tomes and books presented?

That is eternal limitation ... a virtue of slammer ... vaulted missing's ... some say the vast mystery put sparks and clues out there as a sign ...

Well "jumped up" said my grandfather as he bounced ... you might even hear his echo in the night ... resonation?

Morning, all. The coffee cart is up and running for this midweek day. Heading into the holiday weekend, let us be thankful for all the good thingsthat are happening. Feel free to start a list of thankful things below.

I wonder if some coffee could stimulate folks in NB that are caught in chaos or anarchy about directives to avoid COVID or sic political leadership ... disturbance usually detracts from intelligence ... rigidity appears to descend or collapse in the heat of cosmic energy ...

Tired. Was asleep m, but did need to text sister. Then text from Chemguy whining about flu vaccines and asking where. Apparently he called a bunch of big places even though I told him last Friday when I saw a pharmacy adverte they had them in. Since then have seen multiple. Chemguy insists 'no one has it yet'. He calls one I suggest, doing walk ins this afternoon. He has Facebook, not sure why he couldn't getcthe same info I had.

Annoying though, it's back to Facebook having info, not government sites.

Good morning, all! It's Thursday, a few hours from now a holiday weekend starts. Get ready.... anyway the cartis up and running. Enjoy.

Now that we're over the weak hump ... may have occurred at midnight or other darkest hour ... there's a song hung on Ayer about that too ...

There's also one dawn under that the aboriginal people relish as a hard place ... iconic!

Good morning. I woke up to a text saying I can book my third dose of the vaccine. I got the text saying I qualify for the third dose based on my immune status yesterday. I may try to get it today. I have to get jabbed for bloodwork today then plan to do laundry near where the vaccine clinic is in town.

I'm surprised it took this long. I have technically been eligible for a while, but took time to find a doctor who said so and then med timing.

Smoke has cleared, so I'm going this afternoon for mine. Reminds me, I need to change, wearing a long sleeved shirt right now, it's a bit chillly!

It doesn't feel like too long to me. Dr Henry and her team are very research based and don't just jump onto bandwagons. Not that this is a bandwagon for the record. I got my second dose four months ago. It seems 4-6 months is a good interval between second and third doses, though you can get the third dose 30 days after the second in BC.

I agree, not too long, just surprised that long to be eligible for a 3rd. I have known of people getting a 3rd dose in BC for a while, didn't pay attention to all the rules there. Here, you would have been included with the first group living independently, without needing to talk to a doctor (although still encouraged). I didn't fall under clear listed criteria, although that did hit after talking to a doctor who said I did qualify.

I am waiting for the flu shot to arrive at my pharmacy so a third COVID jab may have to be juggled with that if it gets down to my level (probably won't) since you're supposed to have some kind of a gap between vaccinations (forget the time period offhand).

With my comp entry done (see sig), I am now working on a sequel to a fantasy story I have in my drafts even though I am not really sure I am happy with the original yet. Found a little throwaway reference in the original and my imagination ran with it so I pumped out 1500 or so words of the possible follow-up.

In spite of a so-so forecast for today, it actually does not look too bad out. Probably heading out for some exercise soon.

BC subdivided the clinically vulnerable group. People more vulnerable than I am were able to get their's already. I was willing to wait

You no longer need to wait between vaccines like was initially being done. You may want to though just with arm soreness, but no need for the weeks in between like they used to say with the COVID ones.

I wonder what is the optimum gap between the second and the third. Its known now that after 6-8 month the protection is lower. But, I seem to remember that they also found out that the Pfizer was given too close together between the first and the second and several weeks later would have been better.

The Ontario government document I was perusing earlier said, IIRC, minimum 8 weeks after second shot but it was a document of guidance and policy so no cites for how they came up with that figure.
