closing in on surgery day (Friday). With the current pandemic, I did not have the education classes they used to give hip replacement patients. Also, I will be in barely 24 hours. And an acquaintance who is 10 years younger than me died this week due to a post surgery blood clot (in the car, on the way home with his wife driving). I know...if it's my time, it's my time, and I can't worry about it. I'm just selfishly wanting to enjoy a little more time on this planet!

ooh, Nancy. The anxiety of that -- and I get that there are differences, but, it does drive an edge.
I do hope that your surgery goes well and your recovery is quick.

Hugs, thinking of you, and gentle prayers for a good outcome.

Wow Nancy. So traumatic for your friend.
good luck with your surgery. I think there is a big push to get some of this surgery done , I know two people getting knee replacement surgery this week.
sending wishes, hot soup and ice cream for your recovery

Good morning! For those who go through joint replacement surgery, or cancer concerns, or other medical cares, let us gather in moral support around the coffee table. For other concerns, worries, joys and celebrations, let us also join in community.

There are folks that go through life and say: "no concern"!

Are those folks fulfilling that grand target of living with something missing? If you believe ... it there it is gone ... senseless?

I got note from my late friend's son in Texas that he has come down with Covid. He is recovering but said it was rough and the loss of smell and taste was really odd!

It is a great adventure looking for the mid we are not cognizant of ... and keeping at arms length so all your thoughts will not go down the hole as some express abstract activities (those within context of psyche)!

Generally it is a strange trip ... some believe they don't need to seek or deviate ... given the deviation ... diversity? levity ... awesome!

Sending healing vibes Nancy. Heading into a hospital for surgery is always a bit worrisome - but, I suspect, even more so now. I was surprised that you weren't offered a video prior to your surgery to explain what to expect.

Good morning! We gather around the coffee cart, offering support and hope for upcoming surgical procedures, that all may go well. We think of those with ongoing medical conditions, and stand with them through what they are going through. The water is hot, the coffee is ready. Come, join the circle.

If we deny coffee ... will we go into somnolescent states as those that believed Covid a hoax ... thus a plan, scheme, or conspiracy to work against destructive forces fails ... it just wasn't ... a form of incarnate unfalsifiable theories about Flinn families entering militant powers wishing to completely eliminate the poor underdogs ... through a final solution.

Not to be proven but there is floating evidence that few untll admit! C'est Fini ... perhaps St Ephanie? Some reordering may be in line for regulation of creepings ... no fear such things go on in the land where people don't wish to know much! Thus mental displacement schemes ...

You should see this from out there ... tis insane from long ago and far away ...

It's a good day for me to join the circle here. My dad is not expected to live much longer. I am in that waiting stage of limbo which is not easy. Waiting has never been my strong suit, so to speak.
Sorry P3. I hope he's fairly comfortable and you're able to visit with the time he has.

Ah P3 - I know it's been a long journey for him - and you as his dtr; sending prayerful hugs for swift & peaceful passage to benefit all. Must be especially challenging in these COVID times.
