It s the Pfizer one. They have mobile clinics coming to the homes.
In Halifax? Why are they doing that with the Pfizer one instead of the Moderna?
Here it was clear, it's why LTC had the delay as they had to go to the distribution centers so before Moderna was approved and present here it was just health care workers.

April at the earliest. Government won’t call an election until they have more vaccines as it is a huge mistake. They need to show they are doing something

but I heard that Toronto should have all LTC residents vaccinated by next week, Windsor already has completed. So that is good news on getting things done

So now we watch to see if Covid stops being a problem in Windsor and Toronto LTC's.

The Pfizer one was the one in Germany they brought to nursing homes. If Germany can put a cold enough fridge i. A van to drive stuff around, Canada should be able, too. I don’t know exactly what they have in Halifax, I believe it is the Pfizer one, too.

It was an agreement though that we would stick with the distribution centers only for the early stages. I don't know what Germany's agreement was.

In Oz, we won't start vaccinating until mid-late February - and then it will most likely be the English one, which only has a reported 62% efficacy. (The need to keep the other two vaccines so cold is a problem in our vast rural areas.) That's the bad news.

But, due to our strict quarantine measures and lockdowns when necessary, we have relatively few cases. (That's the good news!) It's now mandatory in Sydney to wear masks in shops, churches, cinemas, etc, public transport - which means I'll be more prepared to get on with things. Overall, Aussies tend to accept government health directions - which has played its part in keeping us safe.

It’s surprising how well Aussies abide to the laws, considering that your ancestors were convicts ;)

And keeping children out of school helps fight Covid, but not for the reason you think:

Sounds like exactly what I thought. Have schools open and people go into well if my kid can be around a bunch of other kids it's not a big deal if I fill in the blank.

We finally have some better numbers on how long people remain immune after having COVID. We know it is at least 5 months, but they can apparently still be carriers.

More info on delaying vaccines, potential for mutationsis a concern. NACI is supporting delaying up to 42 days. Dr. Njoo has stated that if going beyond that data should be collected, I have doubts wirh Quebec if they don't stick within 42 days.

Moderna and Pfizer have both spoken out against delaying too far beyond their schedules.

Alberta will be delaying but staying within NACIs advice, those in LTC will be staying on schedule and as mentioned earlier it's with informed consent ie. Those who got their first dose and weren't told of the delayed schedule will be getting it on schedule not the delay.

Delaying the vaccine can cause a mutation? Not good.
And I find it interesting that there are some in Quebec who haven't got their second dose yet and actually got Covid waiting........especially when Moderna's is touted as being 80 per cent effective with the first dose.
I wish they'd try to keep on schedule so we can get a real idea how effective these vaccines are going to be.

It's a similar idea to antibiotics although I would say less risky than that. Antibiotics kills the bacteria - if not high enough of a dose or a long enough of a dose those with mutations with weak levels of resistance survive and next set of mutations can lead to those that have strong resistance. With a vaccine it's not about what virus that does replicate - most likely to be those that have mutations that the antibodies aren't effective against.

The more people within an area with low to moderate levels of evolutionary pressure on a bacteria (via antibiotics that will slow growth but not necessarily kill the vast majority) or virus (via antibodies which may have some affinity but not inactivate the vast majority) the more mutations will arise to have successful reproduction.

Just to be clear. The vaccine is not advertised that it prevents you from getting Covid. It stops you from getting sick. You can still get it and transmit it, but you won’t die. Likely.

I am more than mad that trudeau is so slow at getting vaccines into the country. Once we are vaccinated it should slow the death rate. But the virus will still be here

Should one deny the greatest person of fast due to how trust was Putin to wit ... a Celestial Joker ...

Ordinary folk are threatened not to speak of it! Thus the subdued myths ... they go down in history as false *eros rise ... subtle cognizance?

We are told to submit to the power ... thus Ham Mere's Din ... you recall Ham, Seth and the other one? Japheth; that's the word as it flies; fleas?

Moor to read into ... we ran out of propane ... told not to worry. Ran out of service to the hot water unit ... it was also forgotten about by service folks. This the rule of ignore ... and things that go away ... do they fit the rule of action/reaction ... or when retrieved in some strange manner ... it will not rest in the receiver's psyche?

Are many folk without the essence of brai* as if the nun part was missing in the brain! No place to put thoughts when ova run with emotions! Thus egg was laid upon us overt Lyre?

This has bothered me and made me wonder what the point is. Someone asked Dr Henry that at her briefing yesterday. One part of her response was that if you don't get sick (ie catch covid) you have nothing to pass on to others. That helped.
