The Republican'ts made the same claim re taking away guns before Obama was elected. Obama was in office for 8 years. Did the guns disappear then? Really? Why not?

Obama has said that his one regret in office was that he couldn't change the gun laws after the Sandy Hook shooting.....but I think it's more the NRA and gun manufacturers that control the gov't on that issue. Not sure if the NRA is dominated by republicans or democrats or equal.....same with the manufacturers.

Guns in the us guarantee their ability to protect themselves from a government gone rogue. Not the same in Canada, but as long as the US government does not go rogue, there is some safety for Canadians. The sane US government would not be ok with us going Venezuela. The left crazy US government has that as their goal.

I personally know a lot of people in the states who I really respect and a very high percentage would be lethally dangerous because they are trained killers guns or not. Lots go right into the reserves, I think it is called right out of high school.

Up here I know a few people with martial arts training, But most of the Americans I know know how to kill people.

Ok. Well, I totally disagree with the core philosophy that perpetuates that mentality. I don't know what else to say about it. Does much of our uranium go for bombs today, though? Most of the current arsenal uses plutonium as far as I know, which is mostly produced in breeder reactors and similar since it is rare in nature. It's also deadlier (considered one of the most toxic substances on the planet) and brutally difficult to handle safely.
