if all witnesses were saying the exact same thing, the cops would suspect collusion among witnesses and their truthfulness would diminish

So, the discrepancies in the Bible are there to avoid the suspicion of collusion? (I don't even think unsafe would have enough incredulous question marks for that explanation).

This is like an early Christmas present for me.

Did you come back just to feed me lines like this?

if you want to start another thread on discrepancies, do it and let's take one discrepancy at a time, this way we don't lose track, and we can all learn, I included, its bible study :).

BTY the 4 witness account I explained, yes its part of Police sciences. one can refute it all they want I guess, but it's more believable than 4 stories being exactly the same.

Police sciences say to look for eyewitness accounts that are too similar? Have you been watching Police Academy? You know Steve Guttenberg was playing a character and that wasn't a documentary, right?

Sigh ... and the biblical boxing matches continue ... to what end? I leave it to Richard Rohr to say it better than I ever could ... I do share this thought.

I can understand you're exasperated. Just be careful that no one else expresses exasperation, or we'll know you're colluding.

I exasperated, but I'm not a Christian so is that still collusion? :sneaky:

You've got me wondering why the original developing Christian community didn't merge the four accounts and call it Police Report on the Life and Death of Jesus of Nazareth?

Except that these are not police-conducted interviews, under controlled conditions. The police sciences approach doesn't even get a foot hold in those circumstances. This ain't 21st century investigation. This is 1st century proclamation. Completely different ball of wax.

not when it comes to witnessing, sciences get better and better as time goes on , your just making a false claim.

if all 4 witnesses account were the same people today would accuse all 4 apostles of concocting the story among themselves.

Biblical scholarship has gotten better and better over the years, as well. Why don't you try googling some legitimate Biblical scholarship (say, for example, Peter Enns or James McGrath) and see what they have to say about it? (Note: 'Got Questions?' source doesn't qualify as biblical scholarship.) You might want to see for yourself what other viewpoints actually have to say before you start throwing out accusations of 'false claims.'
Go ahead. Do some actual research.
