Dark chocolate and ginger? Okay, that sounds a bit weird to me and I like ginger, esp. in herbal teas. Weird, but also worth a try since I also like dark chocolate. I shall keep an eye out for it.

We are officially into a nice weather spell here. Originally was supposed to run from today to Monday but now they are calling for periods of rain Monday, so just four days instead of five. Still, means I can get some biking and walking time in. Maybe ride the Thames Valley Parkway again this weekend. Much prefer outdoor exercise to the stationary bike.

well today started with a jolt. I went to enter garge to get to freezer when a black critter streaked by. I suspect a rat.
We had back garage door open a fair bit yesterday when man was here turning on and programming my lawn sprinklers.
I hate rats.
Nw I have big door to garage open and car parked in front so it can run out. Unlikely but I am hopeful.

I probably need a rat trap or 2. Sigh.
yuck - I hate rats too ... we have them from time to time too. Ours tend to be brown tho.

The critter was so quick it was a blur-judging from the size-about a small kitten-I think rat.
So my son and I geared up and went in the back dorr I chanted and both of us hit the floor and various things with our rake shovel-intent was to drive rat out the open car door. No sign of rat so our hope is that it had left.
Otherwise traps-feeling I did give it a chance to leave.

You can get it at Bulk Barn....there's both milk choc and dark. That way, you could just buy a couple pieces to try.

Ginger and chocolate pair well together. I'm shocked this is new to you @Mendalla

Laura Secord has a decent type. Many candy stores will sell a few pieces at a time

SUNSHINE!! Dare I think that summer is on the horizon?? Windows are open here in the room ... blowing away the winter's dust & freshening up the air (hopefully not too much pollen will blow in!). Happy Friday all.

I will be doing some prep for our street's annual garage sale which is tomorrow; mate is helping son install new bluetooth sound system into his old car (nice to see them working together with son in the lead & dad helping :-) ); watching the Raptors game tonight; heading out Sunday for a few days away to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary :-)

What's everybody else to for the weekend?

Good morning, all! Friday has dawned here, a new day starts, time for coffee. Or tea, or the warm drinkable of your choice.
There does seem to be a bit of chocolate covered ginger in the room, not sure how it goes with whatever beverage you choose, but help yourself.

Good day everyone. Happy Friday. I feel much better today and am hopeful I may actually ditch this cold/bronchitis. It's a bit dreary and cool here today. The area needs rain so hopefully we'll get a good steady rain. Not looking too promising on that front.

Today is my 11/12 treatment. I get a CT on Tuesday in preparation for seeing the oncologist a week later. I'm looking forward to seeing how this CT compares with the first.

In the meantime, tea.

So I'm now sitting in Costco waiting for a prescription to be filled. Costco is the last place I feel like being and I'm thankful they have chairs in this corner by the pharmacy.

We went to the clinic as scheduled. The nurse heard my cough and I told her about my week. She consulted my chart and then the doctor. Then I saw the doctor for an assessment. This is the doctor I saw last week. He took my vitals and showed me the x-ray from Tuesday. The x-ray actually indicated bronchial pneumonia, not just bronchitis. He explained that if they gave me chemo today they could make me sick enough with pneumonia to be hospitalized. So, no treatment and a prescription for an antibiotic. Time to heal fully now.

And this is where your beloved and canine jump into gear, making you rest and heal, snuggling you in blankets and love, feeding you healthy teas and healing foods. Chicken soup, books, and good music always nice combo.

Gee Northwind. I would have thought that the antibiotic should have been prescribed right away - not after days of feeling poorly. Now you are getting treated the bugs should start dying off. Be well.

Well the doctor on Sunday wondered about prescribing an antibiotic. He speculated it might be a viral thing and wasn't real committed to the idea. The doctor on Tuesday didn't offer one. The difference in the doctor today is he works with people getting chemo all the time. He knows the whole picture and is willing to be more aggressive. He also knows that if there is bacteria in my system, it presents a different risk for me than for others. I have been improving so wasn't concerned. The doctor today convinced me this was the wise path to take. I'm okay with how things have moved forward. It really doesn't change my treatment a lot.
