My friend" daughter's girlfriend's youth (sorry for that mouthful) was born female and is identifying as male. Family is supportive and they are just starting counselling-with a view to medical procedures. They are 18 done high school and looking for work. Not much success. Part of the issue may be that they have quite large breasts but trying to present as male. and so they are spending too much time in their room and feeling depressed. Breast reduction surgery should make a difference.

I had a bunch or relatives like that ...

The first trans person I ever met was a big fellow in his 30s. He made a MUCH better Marc than Mary. He had been a big woman, and was really physiologically more 'normal' as a man than he'd ever looked/felt as a woman, once the boobs were gone.

In whose professional opinion?

Well, obviously in the professional opinion of the doctors with whom he consulted and under whom he had surgery and hormone treatments.

And if a woman who likes men is a "professional", I'd categorically state that he seemed to fit in with the "norm", behaviourally and physiologically, much more as a man, than he did as a woman. (I knew him pre- and post-transition).

Fair enough.

Just being a woman who likes men is not enough to qualify said woman as being a professional behavioral or physiological expert.

Sounds like an opinionated commentary to*mei! Have doubts ... question all things as often the agenda is underhanded ... and the hermeneutics poorly absorbed and digested ... due to voided capability?

Let's put it this way. Man or woman, he looked a lot more like you than like me.

The bible says to love all mankind .. and yet one sect still despises the alternate ... until rite intuit! Then they don't think atoll ... god-word (memnon) said there'd be a sign of nothing while still in existence ... thus winddrift ... of the essence! Pheromones, or put some fair monis on it ... life is chancy ...

It really bugs some when I embrace a buddy ... or even his wifi ... can such crap spread offensively? In the secular realm we just don't know ...

My dear Jae ...
I see you have regressed yet again in the knowledge and understanding of the concept of gender.
Perhaps you should get a professional opinion of your claim to being a man.
If you feel it is required of us then please lead by example.
When it comes to knowledge we have done our homework and have applied it in our lives. You lag far behind.
Your opinions you post here actually hurt. Sort of like bee stings. I would suggest you look up the term 'micro aggressions'

Which is not an answer to my question RitaTG, a question which I posed of @BetteTheRed.

@Jae - and you are ignoring RitaTG's important comment that your expressed opinions are hurtful. Intentionally inflicting hurt on others seems to be in opposition to your claims of Christian love. I find it very sad that you continue along these lines.

I reject such comments Carolla. Moreover, I don't require scolding from you.

Perhaps not scolding
That only works where there is a heart open to correction.
You have hurt me.
Pity is my response
I will challenge your views

If you have chosen to feel hurt RitaTG, that's been your choice. I've said nothing with intention to hurt.

Intention is not necessary to cause hurt.
Ignorance is a common root cause
You have caused hurt and refuse to acknowledge it
Further .... You have just caused more hurt.
It is called Gaslighting and victim blaming
The words 'chosen to feel hurt'.
It is the same as hitting someone with a stick and then accusing them of choosing to feel pain.
It is my fault I felt pain?
Way to go pastor Jae
Christian honesty and love at its finest

I have reported him, as he is on a roll again which we can see in other threads. This is Ritas thread and I have asked to ban him temporarily, since he is not getting it. There is no need for this behaviour here, Rita has had enough of this in RL.
