Oooo Ritafee - loved your videos - they made me smile this evening. Looks like a beautiful property - my eye was more drawn to the gardens & forest than to the outhouse, I must admit.

Sorry to hear of Garry's Dad's hospitalization - that's rarely an easy time - so worrisome for family, and distressing for the person hospitalized. I hope they will be getting him out of bed & moving around quickly - then he won't have any need for all those lines & catheters etc. and will feel more like himself again.

@Ritafee , My father did the same re the catheter when he was in the depth of his delusions. I am sorry. I know how hard it can be on everyone. My rhoughts are with you.

The room seems a little bit nippy.
I see that @Seeler had banked the fire yesterday. thank-you. It only took a minute to get it going.

I've fluffed up the pillows and the comforters.
There is some hot cider by the fire, and some warm muffins.

I think that @Carolla made some brioches that she might not mind us nibbling on.
@BetteTheRed has a bunch of teas.
I wonder if @Kimmio or @Northwind have any of those delightful west coast chocolates.

aaah, looking forward to a read and a chat.

Snow day and trying to get over a cold day here. Netflix day! I've been watching The Good Place - which is silly satire, for fun. Ted Danson is good in it and Kristen Bell reminds me so much of my neighbour, her face, the way she talks (not the character's bad behaviour - but overall) ! I have to tell her when I see her next!

I have a pot of delicious tea from a great Victoria tea shoppe, Silk Road. Move over Davids.

I also brought some great Scottish shortbread and goodies from a local Scottish store.

I think I'll just sit in this big chair by the fire with my knitting.

Sounds good. I have some delicious Ogsusu Cha and some lovely Banilla Kuki

Hi folks:
Pinga, it's thoughtful of you to notice that I banked the fire last evening. It's been very cold here in New Brunswick and only warmed up enough to storm yesterday - lots of snow and blowing snow causing white outs where you couldn't see the road. Seelerman drove me over for my semiannual neurologist appointment. Fortunately we were one of the few vehicles on the road. If the person has to cancel an appointment waiting time to rebook might be as much is six months.
I often drop into the room to check on the fire, tidy up a bit, and sit quietly watching and listening and relaxing in a comfortable and safe place.
Mrs.Anteater - your dessert looks good. I have a snowman placemat just like yours.

I have finished my four weeks of physio (four days a week at the hospital, plus some work at home each day). I will go in for another assessment next week and then quarterly and definitely. It was an intense workout concentrating on stretching, coordination, and balance, and I think they did make good – giving me more confidence and incentive, and dealing with the symptoms of Parkinson's. Life is good. And I should have more time for Wunder Café two.

Sounding like a good exposure to Rehab Seeler. Is there any organised follow up activity? Many ofus have difficulty doing exercise at home - some social aspect is cool too!

I do so wish there was a fun and varied activity group in my community. One that revolved around easily adapted stretches, yoga, general movement and balance. There certainly are enough people who would benefit - those with heart problems, lung disease, arthritis, stroke, fibromyalgia, diabetes, obesity...……..

You are SO right about this - and I'm one of those folks! My plan to do a simple gentle exercise programme - maybe 3 times /week has not come to fruition. It's been interesting to observe my own procrastination/resistence to this. So I will go back to a class in two weeks time.

In our area - people who finish the Strong & Steady falls prevention programme have the option to continue with a weekly class run by an OT/PT Assistant who is affiliated with that programme. It's at a local community centre.

I agree with you ChemGal. There's been lots of social media & reg media about this incident - incredibly irresponsible - and all for the video??

I am wondering about the motive - was it for the video or was it an anger outbreak? Why is the person taking the video not before the court, he she could have prevented it. If it was anger, I think some mandatory therapy would be in order. If it was for the fame of an online video, I think she and the others sho7ld be ordered an online confession of guilt and stupidity and a six month bei g barred from online media.
