Aw, Tab, sorry. You'll miss her; she was a lovely kitty. Her colouring, tabby with white boots and patches, reminded me of my first childhood cat, Bridget.

Sorry Tabitha, I hit 'like' for your post. I certainly didn't 'like' hearing about your cat. I'msure it ws well loved. You will miss it.
ps I recently had my Grandcat visi for a week while Seelergirl was away. She has been back hime for a week now and I'm still missing Grandcat waiting for me to stir in the morning by jumping on my bed and announcing 'comee on, get up, it'sbreaakfast time'. and then rubbing againsr my legs so I can hardly walk to the kitchen.
Seeler, you really need a cat for yourself and seelerman. He is the perfect cat whisperer. Maybe you should get two, one each.

I know. But I woud want a kitten, not an oldercat that has already atttached to its first family,

and we, being in our late 70s and eaarly 80s would outlive it. - or worse not be able to care for it.

I'm listening to Michael Franti as I straighten things out around the fifth wheel. He's good company. I bought a Dyson vacuum cleaner that is slick.

Sitting in the hotel's lounge for "status" members, ie those who spend a lot of time in hotels.
Looked up, and saw a plane very low. Was taken aback, but, as didn't see a big fireball, have to presume the runway is that close. These windows must be amazing as did not hear the plane at all.
wow

I have been diagnosed with mild sleep apnea, so tonight is my first night of a one month trial to see if a CPAP brings me benefit.
I wish there was something that keeps me from not sleeping on my back without waking me up, because that is when it is happening, I am good on my side. I wonder what the cat will think about sharing my bed with the machine.

Hope it goes well for you. My employer sells and supports CPAP so I at least know where to go if I ever need it.

A tennis ball sewed into the middle back of your pyjama top will stop you from sleeping on your back.

My mum made wee pockets on the back of my dad's pj jackets. A tennis ball inside reminded him to roll over when it dug harmlessly into his back!

good luck Mrs. Anteater! I hear that for some people, it is a process to adapt to using a CPAP ... so I hope you can be patient with yourself. I have friends who use CPAP machines & they swear by them - feel SO much better!!

Seller 3 of the 4 cats I have had as an adult came as adults. Only one was a kitten. First one was a young cat who just showed up at our house. 2nd was a feral cat that had been spayed and was living on frogs. She attached herself to us at the cottage. 3rd was a kitten from a friends litter and last was spca at 20 months after a litter of kittens. She went to a foster family who took care of her and the kittens, then Shirley-and most of her kittens went back to SPCA to be adopted -and get spayed. Have you thought about fostering seeler? There are many older cats who would like a good home and wouldn't care that you were not their first family.

My dad also has sleep apnea and LOVES his CPAP. Has managed to get separate ones for home, cottage and big rig. One thing he did need to do was the multiple masks until he found one he liked, they are apparently a lot of styles. Hope you find some benefit!

The cat started to chew on the cable as soon as she got upthis morning, so I had to hide the whole machine under a basket.
Woke up four times, but felt more rested during the day....will see what the next couple of nights will bring.

I have a day off today. It's the official start of reducing my work hours to .9 and so I will get 2 days off a month. Yipee!

Still slowly getting rid of cat stuff. I gave the wet and dry food to a friend, apparently just as she needed to shop for more. I took the litter to the SPCA as they just received a large influx of cats and kittens due to a hoarding situation. Emptied our last litter box as today is garbage day.

This will be great as long as you are not expected to do the same volume of work as a full-timer.

My last position was a .8 contract and I loved it! In my last few months I was able to reduce my hours to .7 which was even better.
